I do understand, but whoever was answering that question is giving the correct answer for SMETS1 only...It comes from their FAQ, which could probably use an update...0

Do you just take that over, or do I need a different smart meter?"I imagine the same customer service rep is reading from the same out of date FAQ so there will be plenty of those to be found, doesn't alter the fact that the 'Secure' brand meters are SMETS1, not SMETS2...The correct information for SMETS2 is on their website, just not in the FAQ:I'll give them some feedback to help improve the answers being given on the FB site...

I have done a Quote and it´s giving me 3 different tariffs, but not the tracker tariff. Any idea how to check the rates for that one, or if I´ts available in my area. I´m in Edinburgh0

Don't do the quote, just go to the bottom of that same page and enter your post code.You can't switch directly to the Tracker but once you are with Octopus you can ask to be moved to it...

Will my smart meter work with Octopus?
If you have a SMETS1: We use the smart meters made by the company Secure. Secure also supply meters to Utilita, Shell, OVO, E.ON and Bristol Energy - so if you have a smart meter from them, and it’s a ‘Secure’ meter, it will work. (A different brand of meter from them unfortunately won’t.)
If you have a SMETS2: Yes, it will!

I have now joined Octopus, hope for good and not to change again in 1 year like I have been doing lately.
