Not currently, on my account it says
We've temporarily postponed smart meter installations in light of the government's social distancing advice. We'll be back up and running as soon as it's safe to do so.

Are Octopus installing smart meters themselves?

I ask this, as if a smart metter is needed for the agile tariff, and mine does not work with them and they are not installing, there aint much point switching to them now right?

They install Smart Meters area to area/region to region in common with other Energy Companies, all non emergency installations have been suspended due to Coronovirus19, likely to re-start S.M installations in the near future
Tracker Tariff which does not require a Smart Meter to transfer to, unit kwh rates will currently be a lot cheaper than you are currently paying, after signing up can register interest in having Smart Meter installed by Octopus if existing S.M is not compatible

Quick question of something I have just seen about agile.
"A 21p daily subscription covers costs including metering, distribution, and other fixed costs."

Is that on top of the unit ratio and the daily fix payment?

No, that is the daily standing charge.
So it is just that + cost per kWh.

They were install in June last year I think. The brand is Landis+Gyr E470 and has another trillian small box near it. I think while some E470 are SMETS2, this one might not be.
That is the same brand that Octopus install, have a look at the full model number, if it is E470-5299A then it is SMETS1.
    E470-5394 or E470-5424 are SMETS2.

I have been trying to look at that for a while and can´t see anything, where would it be? It´s the longer one with a black line across where the display is.

"We can read smart meters made by a company called Secure. If your smart meter was made by a different company, it’ll behave just like a standard meter; you’ll have to send us meter readings manually, and your In-Home Display might not work.
To check whether your smart meter will work with us, take a look at the manufacturer name on the meter itself. If it says “Secure”, then you should keep all the smart functions when you move to us"

That is specifically for SMETS1, does not apply to SMETS2.

This was the question neither Q nore answer mentions SMETS 1 OR SMETS 2  " If I have a Shell Energy smart meter (fitted 2019) is this compatible with Octopus as looking at the options to switch suppliers"

@ MWT, I fully understand what you are saying "These newer model smart meters are fully compatible with the DCC (the secure national network that the meters "talk" to all suppliers through). This means if you have a SMETS2 meter you should have no issues with energy switching"
