Coastalwatch said:Afraid I can't confirm the closing price of our ISA due to web maintenance but last time I looked it was listed as being at 101% so had gained almost 1% over the week, but it may be a tad higher. In contrast our Green Energy Storage Fund went berserk, in Utility investment terms at least, gaining 5% closing at 116%
and leading the professionally run ISA by a whopping 15%.
NG shares rose also closing on 891. Looks like I've missed out on acquiring some of those at the best price! With web maintenance of the ISA complete I confirm the figure previously quoted was indeed surpassed. Instead of the value closing at 101%, it finally reached 101.16%.I still make that 14.84% behind our Green Energy Storage Fund.No doubt the ISA will eventually overtake it but will be interesting to see how many months or years it may take.East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. Martyn1981 said:Just to say that Abundance has now opened a new scheme for investment. It's only for 5yrs and 1.2% interest. The capital is part repaid each year.at several council-owned sites which will help deliver on its new Environment StrategyLess than a week after the project was launched and with £300k being raised already no time is being wasted in cracking on with panel installation at two sites. Along with the notification is a short video showing progress on the roof tops.
Solar panel installation begins across West Berkshire, funded by the UK’s first Community Municipal Investment

With FTSE losing 2.6% this week the team running our S&S ISA did well to keep it's reduction to just 0.13%, so losing the gains of the previous week and finishing at 101.03%.Having made a 5% gain last week I was quite prepared for the Energy Storage Fund to fall back a few points this. On the contrary it finished another penny higher closing at 117%.Based on share price alone the gap between the two now stretches to 15.97% so doesn't look like the ISA is going to forge ahead for a month or two yet!East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. Coastalwatch said:There was mention of a combined wind and wave technology proposal on the Forum recently and coincidentally Marine Power Systems have secured £17.5m funding for their patented technology and are seeking to raise more on the Seedrs platform to assist in getting it into the Market place.Positioned to capture the best of wind and wave energy to assist with a low carbon future. I don't believe a similar combination has successfully been tried before so an opportunity to get in on the ground floor for those of an adventurous nature.Certainly not a recommendation, but it does have very green credentials so might just offer some minor support to help them on their way!A month later and the Seedrs platform shows the £1.5m placement is 97% complete. Some 844 investors obviously suficiently interested to dip their toe in the water, so to speak!East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. The dear old FTSE 100 took a bit of a battering this week losing 4% of its market value. With that in mind the ISA did well to lose a tads over 1% but in doing so dipping back lower than the original investment figure at 99.9%.In contrast the Green Energy Storage Fund held firm so stretching its lead over the ISA to 17%.Of four other renewable funds being tracked, two lost around 1% while the other two held their ground also. So, considering the overall performance of shares during the week Renewables appear to have perfomed better than most.East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. Definitely Green and Ethical is the Cheeky Panda brand of toilet tissue made from Bamboo. I just viewed the video below for the first time since it was published back in April and thought to share here. It is, or was, a new start up which I came across raising funds on the Seedrs platform last year and decided to invest in their ethos and products.Have to say I found Chris Forbes, its founder, very refreshing with his outlook and obvious flare for extracting the maximum coverage from a limited advertising budget. Not a recommendation but certainly interesting.East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. A recovery of 2.2% took place on FTSE this week wtih the ISA benefitting to the tune of a 1% rise while the Green Energy Storage Fund dropped back 2%. Thus the difference between the two reducing back to 14%.I suspect Ofgems price capping of energy bills may have had something to do with GESF price drop!East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. A 1% rise in FTSE this week saw our ISA benefit marginally to the tune of 0.3% and gaining significant ground on the Green Energy Storage Fund which fell back 2% for the second week running, thus reducing the gap between the two, to a mere 12%.Mind the Gap!East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. Abundance are handling the sale of secure debentures on their platform for Liverpool Homes until the 23 August. They are hoping to raise £3.6M from the offer, quite a sum for a crowding funding platform. The loan is for two and half years duration and offering interest of 8% annually.Inline with the previous project, the Homes are being built with a high standard of insulation, GSHP's, Solar panels, grey water recycling and efficient lighting leading to an annual energy demand of approx one third of that for an existing equivalant sized dwelling.Apparently the above is for Self Certified Sophisticated investors only, so that lets me out, and with any shortfall in funding being met by Warrington Borough Council on the same terms.Such a shame that it is not yet mandated for all new homes to be built to such a standard.Green and Ethical indeed.East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. I popped £200 into that scheme. As you say, all new builds should aim high, so I'm trying to offer a bit of support.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
