@Coastalwatch, are you suggesting that Daikin Industries shares are a potential investment?  They appear to be quoted on the Tokyo stock exchange.

Doh! Should have been placed in Greeen and Ethical Energy news so apologies one and all if you've been misled no suggestion intended.

I am hoping we are over the worst now with Gresham House Energy Storage which is up 2p from its recent low of around 47.5p. This month has seen the first share purchases by directors since October last year and the largest director’s share purchase (in numerical terms) since April 2022. As of today the discount to NAV is around 65% so the market still is not impressed. However, for better or worse I am back in.

So far, so good. Up approximately 20% in the last week.

Meanwhile after going ex-dividend today, and earlier in the week having taking a knock from expectations of interest rates remaining high following higher than expected inflation in the U.S., Greencoat UK Wind dropped back to below my target buying price of 130p so I picked up a few at 127.9.

I saw UK Wind was down, but (unfortunately) don't currently have any spare cash to stuff in my SSISA.

After reaching 64p a few days ago GRID has fallen back to around 50p. I bailed out today taking a £5 loss along the way.

I think NG might be a good punt for my SSIPS. (when I finally get round to rounding up my bits and pieces of other pensions)

National Grid is raising money by a rights issue offering shares at a price of £6.45 per share. Last night NG closed at £11.27 but fell today on news of the rights issue to £10.01. I might take up the offer.

I can't believe I missed this until now.  Simec Atlantis has had a tough few years and looked close to failing completely until recently. Yet, the company is at the forefront of tidal energy and is certainly the UK biggest producer of tidal electricity (although that's not saying much) and may be the world's.   So this news is not only good for investors in the company but fantastic news for the future prospects of tidal energy.  I really hope they have now turned the corner.
