Isn't there a policy document sent through the post each year?
Not that it helps for a trip to Ukraine as it doesn't provide Covid cover to non-green list countries
Quite fishy tbh as It costs them nothing to issue insurance certificate.
If you're unhappy with something that you're getting for free, you could always upgrade to the FlexPlus account, or even change to a different bank, and pay for it instead.  You'd have more reason to complain if you weren't happy.

They do send a renewal letter which I have used for proof of insurance together with the policy document printed from the pdf on their website but I haven't used this "proof" for border entry purposes.

adindas, do you think perhaps NW are trying to reduce their cost of providing this legacy customer benefit (no longer available to new applicants), by indirectly discouraging claims?   If they don't send you a certificate, then maybe for peace of mind some customers will buy a separate travel insurance policy and rely on that instead.  I can't help feeling cynical about NW's motives here.

That is what I am planning to do rather than wasting time dealing with them. If you buy travel insurance from the post office or from admiral you will get certificate that will meet the embassy / border force requirement.

But it is still astonishing me why the NW refuses to give people the certificate. They did it a few years ago and suddenly stop it. I remember the reason for that (as they said) is to save cost, which does not make sense at all as it costs them nothing to provide an “electronic certificate”. Keep in mind they already have that certificate from previous year, all they need to do is to change the date and email it to you or attach in your online banking profile.

What is the problem when some people could get something for free and other will need to pay for it. Keep in mind the spirit of this MSE forum.

Here in MSE we are educated to count every single penny are not we?? Let alone buying a new insurance unnecessarily that you do not need.

About suggesting people to get to “Flex Plus account" just for the purpose of getting travel insurance????”  No thanks I could do better than using information provided by the MSE team and wonderful people in here.

IT development is not free. (Or if it is, where did I get the money to buy my house? :)) And most IT development projects start with somebody saying that "all they need" is something allegedly quick and easy.

What are you developing if you already have it and just reuse it ?? How much does it cost to change the date & name ??

I'm glad to see we now agree that IT development is not free.
I am not at this time providing free quotes for unclearly specified IT development projects involving amending the IT systems of an organization not represented by the person requesting the quote.

If it is easy, why not just change the name and dates yourself?

The problem with that is because falsifying document is a fraud and I do not want to commit fraud.

From the discussion here It seems there it is better to buy a new travel insurance rather wasting time to deal with them. But the last one I will do is to upgrade to Flexi plus account. There are muvh better way of getting multi trip annual insurance rather than upgrading the account to Flexi plus account.
