Premier Park PCN Appeal

I’ve found out the land owners are Savills. Anyone dealt with these before? I’ve emailed them, spoke to them on live chat and phoned their head office and no one seems able to help as soon as I say I want a parking charge cancelled. Don’t know what else I can do apart from call them every single day.It is a retail park and the driver was a customer that day, but they don’t have any receipts as they didn’t buy anything worth keeping a receipt for.
No planning permission has been requested for the pole mounted ANPR camera either.1 -
Savills come up a lot. I used the lousy search function to search 'Savills parking' and immediately found this (I'm sure there are many more):Chiggings said:I’ve found out the land owners are Savills. Note that the OP there had a bit of a battle. That's par for the course. Email is generally much better than phoning and aim for the CEO.
If people didn't go shopping in case they didn't buy anything then many of us would never set foot in a shop. I'm sure marketing specialists waste many hours talking about how browsing / 'research' is a key factor in subsequent spending! Retail parks NEED people to go in and look around. Quite apart from anything else, it stops the place from looking empty - that's vital in these days of internet shopping.
Do not apologise for lack of spend on that day. Driver ('occupants of car'?) had an entirely legitimate reason to be there. Insist on cancellation & keep insisting. Stay polite but be firm.4 -
Are Savills land owners? I was under the impression that they were an estate management company. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

For sure. A lot of the time for 'complain to landowner' read 'complain to land management company'. One such cancelled for me & same goes for many others.D_P_Dance said:Are Savills land owners? I was under the impression that they were an estate management company.0 -

They are not the landowner but they are the ones who contract with PPCs, far too often (needlessly in most locations) and these property firms need to think again.Chiggings said:D_P_Dance said:Are Savills land owners? Savills are the Managing Agents and often cancel PCNs when people complain before the person rushes to do a POPLA appeal.
Seeing as POPLA are letting people put in a short holding appeal this month, and seeing as POPLA codes last for 33 days anyway not 28, I suggest an email to Savills is your first port of call. They pretty much always cancel in cases I've seen and this has been discussed to death over the years in the SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCS thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Cool, thanks Coupon. Still not had much luck contacting them. I’ve left them my phone number once which they never phoned back. Haven’t answered my email either so I’ll be calling again today.0

In such matters as this, where a court claim against you is possible, never 'phone anyone, everything on paper, judges love paper trails.
Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -
Just a quick update to this thread, still waiting for POPLA to respond to my appeal which is what I expected with COVID-19 around.
I’ve also done some more digging and the land owner of Hathaway Retail Park in Chippenham is “Kames Capital“ I hope this information will be of any use to someone who finds this thread at some point. I have of course sent them an email requesting cancellation and will post any more updates on my appeals/complaints here as I receive them.5
