Morning x
Massive hugs round it's a horrible situation the world is in. Just remember it's ok to feel anyway you want. I've done frightened, angry, sad, anxiety through the roof and yesterday broke my heart at the pictures coming from New York. Just know that we are all here for you x
I'm on my second load of washing. First one is dried and folded I'll put it away soon. DD is still in bed and OH was up but has gone back to bed cause he's got a sore stomach again. I've stuck stew in the SC and I've got mince I'll need to cook today too.
Suppose I should make a move and do something.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged9 -
Glad I made you laugh Jazee xx I bet anyone walking by who actually did read the titles on the books thought it was a wind-up
ffp - thank you. Massive hugs gratefully received xx The pictures coming from New York yesterday have stayed with me too. I'm not going to watch or listen to any news today or tomorrow to give myself a break.
I've lost 1 lb this week - the only thing that I can think is that anxiety burns calories as the first half of the week was cal-horrific for me. Back on that wagon now: 12 lbs lighter than I was on 1st March.
Round 1 sort of completed - I got weighed, and I'm washed and dressed, but I gave up on breakfast when I looked at the clock! We ate lunch
I've also fed the birds and put out the recycling, and WM has just finished swishing jeans. So I'm going to sort the washing in to loads, peg out the jeans, then read a couple of chapters of my current book (The Horse Dancer - Jojo Moyes - lent to me by L)
Hugs

Golly it's hot out there
First load now pegged out with the jeans whilst accompanied by next door but one's cat. I left him laid in the shade.
Second load is swishing.
I've rinsed and recycled the carrier bag full of drinks cans that DS brought in from his car; put out the rubbish, and recycled the carrier bag as a bin bag.

Round think you need some lighter reading material
but yeah I know what you mean about feeling angry, life just feels so bloody unfair sometimes. I am also trying to stay away from FB and news channels this weekend.
Up late, did half hour of rowing machine/kettlebells, ate a big cooked breakfast. Much discontentment here because someone has drunk half a bottle of orange and mango squash in a day, and its the only bottle we have. There is plenty of apple and blackcurrant squash but that's not the point. (You wouldn't believe how much drama could be created out of excessive and inconsiderate squash drinking).
Going to do a stock cupboard inventory then a proper mealplan for the next week. Washing out, bathroom scrubbed, kitchen tidied. DH has harvested the rhubarb so will make a crumble for later. Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine x9 -
Wm out on lineBeen for a walk, beach is empty
people are at last staying away, goodness knows what life is going to be like when all this is over, just read online newspaper and a plane load of billionaires (or some thing similar) were turned back from France where they were off to a £50,000 per night villa...........................what the fck are these people playing at ...

YL - you have far more reason than I have to be angry at the unfairness of life
xx Hugs xx I read at the beginning of this pandemic that people would go through the five stages of grief for a lost way of life: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. I seem to have skipped bargaining and have merged anger and depression - roll on acceptance is all I can say
kazw - DS told me about the plane being turned back by France. DS thinks my views are too extreme: I say 'shoot them' and the next set of idiots will think twice before they step outside. I'm definitely in the 'angry' stageIt's bringing out a violent streak that I didn't know I had!!!
2nd load is ready to be pegged out. I wonder if Mr Cat is still out there?

Afternoon all x
Operation conservatory clean is in progress.
plastic cupboard emptied and demoulded
2 panels one side and whole of another side washed
boot trays washed
cupboard partly restock but paused as I realised I was shoving stuff back in that needed wiping and sorting. I have had an hour catching up with the thread before heading back in there now.
DH has dragged Henry around, emptied the airing cupboard and made lunch
ds2 is entertaining himself so could explode later
Boiling here, not complaining.
love to all x9 -
Notified by NN that they are planning on lighting their bbq so washing brought in and folded. I didn't think that last lot would be dry but it is except for where the pegs were.

Good evening
Round big hugs to you. It is ok to be angry. And I agree, you need lighter reading material! 😂 maybe the Beano 🤔 (auto correct changed lighter to laughter - maybe it knows something we don't!)
YL hugs to you too x
Well, I had another day in the garden, interspersed with cooling off indoors & faffing on my phone. Patio is finally done!! My goal next week is to tidy up and plant up the pots, and hopefully even get the greenhouse up!!
Flying - I put on the DW, WULTD and s&s the kitchen.
Night night everyone!9 -
Gritted teeth, put on gloves and headscarf and went to Ald!. I had carefully written us a list each to cover us and 2 sets of neighbours; Mr N was going up the first aisle (cereal, bread, fruit & veg) and I was heading straight for meat, cheese etc. The bu**ers had reorganised the shop and nothing was where it used to be. Apparently they think if the hapless public are wandering round trying to find where things are, they will buy more. It just put both of us in a bad mood, all my careful planning designed to get us both in and out in the minimum time. To cap it all, rather than wheel my trolley back to the bay, retrieve my £1 and go back to the car, I 'kindly' passed it to the next man in the queue. And waited. "er....I paid £1 for that" I said, feeling mean. He mumbled about how they have the cheek to charge £1, patted his pockets very vaguely and told me he didn't have any change. I stalked off, feeling that I should be charitable and he clearly needs £1 more than I do - but if I hadn't handed him the trolley, how would he have got one? Rant over.
1 bag of plants still sitting on the drive, have sent 2 messages to the recipient but no reply, hope she's ok.
Sowed more seeds and did more generally in the garden. The house flying can wait till it rains.
Walked friend's dog.
In a reckless wave of excitement we did something we've never done before......ordered a delivery from the local Indian!!! We have occasionally been round to friends and got a takeaway (about twice per year!) but have never ordered one. Very impressed, as requested, they put it on the doormat, knocked and went away. It also took half the time the web site suggested.
Golly I must have done something else today but I can't think what. Sent a load of e-Easter cards.
Hugs to all.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9
