I hope you are all enjoying a long lay in!
X3 WM on the line, dog has been walked and showered, DW has been on and unloaded. Also cleaned out a cupboard as a manky carrot caused a stink. I might read for a bit now x10 -
Ooops a bit late today. We're supposed to be on holiday for the next 5 days in our house by the sea with friends and family. Nevermind, at least we are all well. DD1 sent a message this morning saying she was busy hiding Easter eggs in some of her patients rooms, she's working in a rehab ward and normally they have lots of group activities but not now.
OH sadly still on conf calls despite being on holiday so no great change except he hasn't got socks on! (and is in shorts).
Went for a short walk and dropped an Easter card into my old cleaning lady, I would normally have seen her last week to organise cat care as she still comes and feeds our moggies when we're away.
Bed made and clothes picked up
WM on, now drying
Garden furniture wiped down as we're having lunch outside.
Cat pee cleaned up in the bathroom
Off to pull out something for lunch, and then enjoy the sunshine.

You lot are amazing, thank you so much for everything you have said. I was ready to say to DS that if he goes he cant come back, but he has said he is not going - for now. I actually think he is relieved, he is just so besotted with this girl, and God knows what sort of a person her mother is offering to do something so stupid. It has given me a lot of anxiety that I could have done without right now. Hospital are monitoring DS1 with phone calls as the pain/tingling sensations in his back and legs are getting worse. Little I can say to reassure him and I am terrified of him going to hospital at the moment.
Lovely warm day but DS2 wanted to make soup so I gave him a tomato and red pepper soup recipe and we have just eaten that with some slightly stale bread rolls that were revived in the halogen oven. DH has gone to work. Have hoovered downstairs but no sure what the plan is now. Did think about sorting out the cupboard under the sink but I might sit and read a bit first.9 -
Well it's sorted - shame you had to go through that anxiety YL
Washing on line. Rhubarb, currants, raspberries and bay watered. Pots WUALTD. Fuse box checked - that's fine. I will get the instructions out in a bit, see if there's a fault checker, but the light is not coming on so I am not hopeful. Ironically I had almost run out of DW tablets.
Ironing pile all cleared so it's all either on hangers or on the maiden in my bedroom. DS's bed stripped and airing.

YL.. so pleased he has seen sense.. it's so reassuring to know our young people can be so considerate and sensible.. helps us know we have made a good job raising them! I hope DS2 can get some relief from his tinglings.. Possibly a bit mad but.. is he getting about a bit mobility wise? I'm thinking about the trapped nerve I get and that causing tingling sensations so I do have to keep myself mobile frequently .. if I stay still it does get worse.. mine is in my neck and tingling goes right down my left arm and I get sharp shooting pains in my back.. just something to consider really.. and much less worrying than any of the things no doubt running through your head. xxx2 loads of washing out, 2 more washing away.maggot bin filled

OH putting roof and walls on the cat pen.. I WILL have some air in my house!

I think I have got the hang of not having the car. DH is off today, we were all going for a walk to the chemists and DS2 refused to go. Halfway there I remembered that I could have popped in the car.
Managed to lasso a Mr M delivery for a distant weekend for heavy stuff.

Good news on your DS2's decision, YL. If the girl won't wait for him, she's the fool, not him.
Pigpen, I very much hope your DS1's boss is showing some improvement. Very worrying.
More good news about my friend P: this morning she was out of bed, off all her oxygen and drips; this afternoon she came home by ambulance - she said that the driver broke every speed limit between the hospital and her home in the neighbouring town, so they clearly couldn't get rid of her fast enough! What a turn-around in 4 days! - she really has made a remarkable recovery
My Flying achievements today:
- financial update
- S&S'd bathroom and kitchen
- tidied the LR
- flung open windows and aired bedrooms
- WMx1, all FUPA
- decluttered some more of S's family history paperwork, with major distractions caused by various people with identical names
- checked the growing seeds
- gave a few bean and pea seeds to NDN for her little girls to plant
- managed not to doze after lunch
- spent a lot of time on FB
- Rosie's walk (a long one today)
- cooked 2 meals
Hope everyone has had a good day xx
