There should be a breakdown of the figures

Alternatively list the figures , because in the ukcpm you claimed it was £100 and in the coupon mad one it's £85

Then you mentioned £60 debt recovery , so how does it get to £190.85 ? Or £195 , or £260  ??

There are far too many ambiguous sums and no clear breakdown of those sums

The ukcpm defence was just a template, I did not change the numbers. Sorry about the confusion.
Here is the breakdown of figures on the court form:
    Amount Claimed: £190
    .85
    Court Fee: £25
    Legal representative's costs: £50
    Total Amount: £265
    .85

They must have stayed how much interest was claimed.
  • Sorry I am dealing with so many different things at the same time. You are right. The total of the PCN damages were £160 with interest rate of 8% per annum.

the pcn could not have been more than £100 , so was the initial pcn £100 reduced to £60 for early payment ?

it definitely was not £160 , as that is say £100 pcn plus £60 for debt recovery, so how did that morph into £190.85 ?

clearly some of that figure is interest ?

how much interest have they claimed ?
what was the original pcn charge ?
    what was the debt recovery charge ? ( £60 I would think ? )
what is the additional £30 for ?

Sorry I am dealing with so many different things at the same time.
You ought to try dealing with 20-30 different cases at the same time every day of the week, all at different stages, with posters expecting regulars to understand all the intimate details of every single aspect of each and every thread to ensure that the poster doesn't c0ck up through their lack of attention to their detail. 😯
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    So £100 plus £60 "damages"
    clealy unlawful and blindingly obvious

you did not answer all my questions and neither did the scan or picture either

I asked what the original pcn was , because its not £160 , probably £100
then it appears they added an unlawful £60 for damages , so a global sum of £160
    plus interest on that sum
    plus court fees etc
I dont see £190.85 listed there , nor the total claimed including the court fees etc

so the point is that somehow the £100 pcn charge morphed into almost double , plus the court fee and hearing fee etc making about £265.85

here is a breakdown by Umkomaas posted some time ago

    £100 - original parking charge
    £25 - court filing fee
£25 - hearing fee, if it gets that far
    £7 or £8 interest.
£50 - solicitor costs for preparing case papers (maximum, capped) - where applicable

earlier you asked if the global figure was correct, well to answer that question we need to see a full costs breakdown , so we can discount what is allowed from what isnt allowed

it appears that the global sum is £160
