AM I not interpreting the grace periods correctly??? Any thoughts?1

I think that you are, I think that the judge has not. Let this be a lesson to all those contemplating a telephone hearing. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2

I feel like complaining /appealing, but not sure it the costs will be restrictive , especially if another DJ concurs .
The DJ even said that this was a petty case, yet still ruled in the claimants favour..
Presumably , there will be a cost for a request of an audio copy of the hearing? Perhaps lesson learnt and just move on and concentrate on more important matters ..1 -
IMO there are few things more important that the impartial administration of justice. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

This is true - but at what cost?

I am really sad at the injustice here and will try my best to avoid a telephone hearing on the 2 cases I am involved in.5

Probably less that a flat pack wardrobe from IKEA.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

Sorry for the loss. Yours was the first telephone hearing we've dealt with here. Take some comfort that future cases going to a telephone hearing will be advised on how to deal with the banana skins that were placed under you. I know it doesn't put things right for you, but we will work hard to ensure that the PPC network (and I'm sure their jungle drums will be beating shortly) doesn't try to withhold evidence like landowner contracts on the back of what happened in your case.Presumably , there will be a cost for a request of an audio copy of the hearing? This is all new to us, but from my understanding (having read it somewhere) there is no cost. Do some digging around via Google and please let us know how you get on.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

you where unlucky ... it is some times referred to as 'judge bingo' on the forum"Presumably , there will be a cost for a request of an audio copy of the hearing?"I had thought it was free ... perhaps others can commentRalph

He referenced the stated cases we had evidenced in our WS re abuse of process (DJ Taylor, DJ Jones-Evans, DJ Gibson, DJ Grand) but admitted he had not had the opportunity to look at the cases so couldn't comment or apply that rule!!
This confirms that TELEPHONE judging is a NO-GO.
How can a judge make a judgement if he does not know ....... You have not been given a fair hearing and you should complain to the area District Judge. Which court please and the Judge's name4
