If the court can accommodate your right to a lay rep i'm at a loss to what the fuss is about. There's far bigger matters than a mere parking ticket be done remotely.2

Most cases are being heard remotely at the moment. You could ask for it to be adjourned to a later date. I don't think that you can have the lay rep in your home at the moment. It would have to be a three/four way hearing.
It could be adjourned anyway. The courts are stretched with family and domestic abuse cases. They have to give these priority especially where there is violence.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
I have sent an email to court asking for an adjournement until such time the hearing can be heard in person. Whats another few months? If they refuse , then "que sera sera"!3 -

Not to mention the avalanche of eviction cases which will hit them later. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
