My guess is Paul has this absolutely spot on!!!
Sounds very much to me like a sadoid OP who's never had any letter from any Hewitsons ( or indeed any other ) Solicitors. No different to the sort of plank who makes hoax phone calls etc.......
What it does show, rather interestingly, is the HUGE moral discrepancies on this forum between those who say the OP should be punished....and those of a somewhat lower calibre who reckon " Good on him for being a seller of fake goods and cheating people "

I did post a few pages back that this user seemed familiar, the scenario is one that is similar to something posted previousy, right down to using the sisters account.
I agree entirely.
If this is the case, this user may only be 18, but they've been trading on ebay something like 3 years, and quite frankly should know better, but they seem to keep posting about their scrapes, odd situations, and how they need help, but never seem to learn anything from what happens to them.
It was only a matter of time before something serious bit them on the ass. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
I posted that it sounded made up on the first page and then the op made the classic schoolboy error of responding by claiming he thinks it is Vero related.
When you are reported by Vero you don't 'think', you know as the email would tell you.0 -
Why don't you sell some fake Adidas trainers to raise some money?0
-
. Selling 100 pairs of trainers is hardly causing anyone harm, if anything he is doing these people a favour!!!
Yers because no one buys trainers to actually train and do sport in do they. So when somenone pulls a muscle or tears a ligament or slips and breaks a bone because they are wearing fakes that are not safe that will be fine, some favourThe truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Thought I'll open a new thread, so, here it goes!
I got a letter from Hewitsons today saying that I should pay £25 per trainer I sold which is above what I sold them for PLUS £350 to settle the claim PLUS a percentage of something.
That's funny the same thing happened to me. I sold exactly 100 pairs of fake adidas which I thought were genuine. They only had two stripes instead of three.
Their solicitors Mizuno, want me to pay £500 per trainer plus a £10 settlement and a percentage of something, I don't know why they stated in the letter it had to be a percentage of 'something' as I do not know what they mean by 'something'.
I can't afford to pay them £50,000, I've asked if they would be willing to accept the tenner. :cool:0 -

Im gone for a day or two and get all of this nonesense. If your dont want to help just keep your noses out of it!
Thanks for those links in the previous pages and to those who offered advise, my dad is going to show a solicitor tomorow the letter Hewitson's sent me, will have to wait and see, by the way this solicitor is friend of my dads friend, so, I dont think he will charge a hefty amount of money!
Keep up the rant, it's quite interesting.0 -
Come on folks lets play nice!
Wouldn't it be easier for the op to add a poll? That would save all the sniping going on. What about two options:
a) Go to jail, do not collect £200
b) Stop selling trainers, start selling wiis?
Just a thought...You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0
