Love my stick vacuum, it's not a big name one but a cheapie from Argos.  I actually gave my DD1 the robot one I had as hated it, it didn't do a particularly good job.

I'm out late afternoon/early evening so have got a curry from the freezer so will reheat that and have with some plain boiled rice and a bit of mango chutney (love the stuff!).

Me too, especially the turquoise lid slightly spiced one

I'm afraid I went Son of Dye number 8 with the more powerful suck. It does make me smile how we all chip in on which vacuum cleaner. It comes tomorrow. We shall see. It was £100 off in the dog food promotion with Big River

I've got a Son of Dye V10 animal, the one I mentioned that dies half way through hoovering, will be interesting to see if a newer model has a better battery, or maybe we just need a new battery or a less dusty house  :D  We got it as a 'gift' from DH work so can't complain as it was free. My mum has a samsung and I slightly prefer that, it is very powerful!

That's the one we have too.  Got it in Mr Ts last time as they had it on 4 for 3 and we get through quite a bit of it.  Not keen on the lime and chilli one though.

A chunk of good quality chorizo sausage is a really useful thing to have in stock.  A very small quantity of tiny chopped bits added to a recipe can really liven the flavour up for something which would otherwise taste a little "Flat"

Primrose this is precisely how I use it too - a classic for me is to cut into small cubes and cook, releasing the oils which I then use to fry off onion or mushroom for example. Just a small amount can elevate things like macaroni cheese to a whole new level! (And this reminds me that I really must insert some sort of vegetable cheese pasta bake into our mealplan!)

We have a Jaws (animal) & bought the one with the dual battery option so always able to swap out if the battery dies mid-clean. Also have the hand-held mini jaws for quick clean-ups!  Always amazed at the amount of human hair and fine dust it picks up even though we vacuum regularly.

Food-wise we have are gleaning our sustenance from Sunday's roast and Monday's Cottage Pie - we did family-size cooking for two days as RL is ticking along apace and OH's energy levels have been low so the less actual cooking and clean-up the better.  We are in the midst of having to re-evaluate what we make as OH now needs to focus on a softer food diet rather than our usual fare.

This evening will be the usual tuesday couscous - halloumi for protein, and then the veg part will be peppers and mushrooms, plus a tin of some sort of beans I think. That bit is up for debate as I'm undecided whether to simply take it the "cold salad" route.

Tomorrow will indeed be a HM ready meal kinda night - and that will see a nice large tub of stew departing from the frozen annals of freezer 2...
@EssexHebridean I took inspiration from you and decided to turn some leftover couscous into dinner tonight. At first I was going to stuff some peppers with it but decided to just do a straight shot of roasted red pepper, zucchini, red onion, and tomatoes. I’m about to fry up some halloumi to with it. Hope you don’t mind me copying you. 🙂

I've just never really been persuaded about chorizo in preference to good smoked streaky bacon. Maybe because I first had it on a pizza with the edges of the sausage singed. And I guess I am alarmed by the amount of fat. Just me.

The last two portions of chilli are to be squeezed in the freezer to take with us for our last weekend booked in the campervan. Just a 20 mile-away jaunt. And as the standby meal. I was hoping to have lunch out both days in nice pubs in different walkable locations and a good old chat with a few miles tramping down Suffolk lanes, and games in the evenings.

Just (spiced courgette) soup today as Mr Sl is off to meet up with his bike club, while I am at my book club this evening. A light day is planned for me. Some cheese, a cracker or two and maybe some olives and apple or pear. And a glass of wine this evening! He will eat at the pub. I'm out for lunch tomorrow, with a group of women I have been socialising with for a good 35 years. The monthly meet-ups stopped in lockdown, but there are still occasions when we meet, and it is lunch tomorrow. Fifty miles away.

Absolutely don't mind - this is one of our absolute favourite meals, and he more people eating it the better I reckon!

In small wins I remembered to get the daal and the rice out of the freezer, AND to get a sachet of the indian spiced pancake mix we bought for a bargainous price a while back out onto the worktop so I remember to do those, too!

Food needs tomorrow will be limited to breakfast (probably porridge) and lunch (rolls, fruit) as we're off camping for the weekend - yes, it's cold, but we have a new tent which needs a trial run to make sure all is OK with it! - so we'll be eating away from home until probably Sunday tea time.

Do those stick cleaners really work for pet hair? have a long haired german shepherd and then there is a lot of dust and sand and hay in the house. Honestly it is a mess.   You could all persuade me into one if they work as I hate hoovering although henry does a good job of the mess.

Also had a robot, was glad the ex took it. Useless but very entertaining :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
