Getting loads of eggs from the ducks and chickens so had poached eggs on toast this morning.  Lunch will be jacket potatoes to use up some spuds from a TGTG bag from a couple of weeks ago.  I'll have tuna, OH will probably have beans.

Dinner - I'm torn between daal and Jack Monroe's lentil and mandarin curry.  Not sure what OH will have.  It feels like a comfort food kind of day.

Got some carrots which were requested but not collected on Olio and a bag of coriander so will make soup for lunches for the rest of the week later on today.

Yesterday’s trip out meant we took food incase we were out longer than planned but also snacks for the car. HM Hot cross buns featured, which I’ve had to very quickly hide away in the freezer on account of starting with 18 at 9am and by this morning there are 6 left! Whoops.

Lunch before we left was a use it up salad, with added chickpeas. All the bits from dinner Saturday went in and I’m pleased to say it’s all gone as I’ve finished it for lunch today.  I did also have a small chunk of french stick and a few leftover beans as I was still hungry but they also needed using 🙃

I've had to change my plans for breakfast tomorrow as don't have enough eggs for us both!  Tomorrow will now be kedgeree and I've taken some smoked haddock out of the freezer for this.  Everything else will come from stores.

@MissRikkiC those hm hot cross buns sound amazing.. do you have a recipe to share?

Tonight was a quick teriyaki salmon stir fry with noodles and a big pile of veg rounded up from the fridge/freezer (red pepper, sweetcorn, cabbage, mushrooms and carrots). For pudding we are still eating the last of the carrot cake I made last week.

So today I made sweetcorn and spinach fritters for lunch (from frozen veg), with boiled potatoes and peas. Never made them before, but they were really nice and so will go on the list of meals to rotate. Pudding was yogurt.

These sound nice - any chance of the recipe, please.

It was the delia recipe on account of the bbc one having terrible comments @QueenJess I didn’t make the crosses and they wouldn’t have been worth it for the time they’ve lasted anyway but they were tasty!!

It was a BBC recipe.  It is technically for toddlers, but as tested, it works on adults too :D.  The link is here.
I replaced the sweetcorn tin with frozen sweetcorn (just looked up the rough weight of a tin of sweetcorn online), the fresh spinach with one lot of frozen spinach (defrosted in the microwave and the juice squeezed out) and the spring onion with half an onion.  I also prepared the batter a few hours in advance and just kept it in the fridge.  All tasted nice and we managed to eat the whole thing between 2 adults and 2 very greedy children!

I love poached pears but DH does not so they are a rare treat for me from some I bottled, when he is away.

Here we had a prawn stir-fry to use up the rice noodles and bean sprouts that came in a TGTG bag. I added half of the streaky bacon rashers, snipped into 2cm pieces for a different texture. It seemed to go down well. We scoffed it all. The other veg were all fridge lurkers but I seem to be running out of garlic. Unheard of. I'll add it to the list.
