Got the last of the sausages out of the freezer so am going to make a toad in the hole for dinner tonight.  Will boil the last of the new potatoes I got in a TGTG bag about 10 days ago and veg from the freezer.

Also got Parsley left over from Olio collection so will be making a tub of tabbouleh to snack on now I have some bulghur wheat.  Mind you last time I made it with giant wholewheat couscous because I didn't have bulghur wheat and that was pretty good too.
I works really well with buckwheat as well, which has the benefits of being gluten free for those who need to avoid it.  And you've reminded me I haven't made it since Christmas and it is something i do like

Feeling like a culinary goddess today, a lovely sunny day off and I’ve been busy in the kitchen!

Scones made as desired all week.

Went into the oven along with apple and blackberry crumble using up 4 huge Bramley apples from last weeks TGTG bag with some freezer blackberries we wild picked last autumn. Chucked the last of a split bag of ground almonds on the top of the crumble.

Freezer puff pastry used to make a chicken and veg pie for dinner, left over frozen chicken from a roast, 1 courgette from the TGTG bag and half a pack of mushrooms and onion along with a bag of HG spring greens. To be served with a few spuds mixed with the last 3 turnips from the same bag, half a broccoli and some more spring greens.

Leftover pastry used to make a small size blackberry pie thing.

Leftover tuna sweet corn mixture from yesterday chucked into some pasta for lunch and left overs for lunch tomorrow.

I am a happy lady! Surprising what you can really manage if you think and plan a little.

Sounds like a lovely spread @MissRikkiC very jealous of your culinary escapades!

In the office today and it's payday so treated myself to some sushi for lunch (used a staff discount so it wasn't too much!) and dinner tonight is the last of the prawn linguine from Tuesday.

Well I'm really craving scones now!  Impressed you still have blackberries from last year.  I used my last ones in Jan.  Must remember to pick more this year (and hopefully my garden ones will provide again!).

Am going to dehydrate some of the rocket to chuck into soups and stews for extra nutrients.  Bottom of the fridge soup ready to go on at 8.30 when our cheap rate electricity starts which should do me 3 lunches and uses up a leek, fennel bulb, have a cauli and some carrots.

Have had a sort out in the fridge and can see what is there now so can start a meal plan and shopping list.

CCW007   - Which electricity supplier are you with who is offering a cheaper rate at 8.30 (pm?).   I'm sure ours doesn't offer any such cheaper rate.
