I'm now off to tweak my Tesco order. I must remember to have one last look before bedtime in case anything else has gone out of stock or come back in...8 -

I have only ordered a few times from Amazon over the years and nothing at all during lockdown, Im doing my utmost best to buy locally
I need wool this past week, obviously wool shops aren't open. Found the facebook page for the one in the town, rang them and asked if they were doing click and collect or telephone orders and the man said he hadn't thought about it as no had asked, so I said I was asking. No problem he says, mail me what it is you want and Ill see if we have it. 4 hours later I have my purchase and have supported a local independent trader
I have to confess I am getting so bored with cooking right now. We wouldn't often get a take out BC, but. now we cant get it, I want it lol. There are one or two places in town open, but none deliver out here and I really don't feel that take out is a necessary journey
Anyways I couldn't face cooking a roast dinner today so I had a hunt around the freezer and found some salmon darnes that I had picked up for 90p a pack. Mum got hers with salad and baby boils, me and mr s had salmon chilli pasta, very nice it was as well

Before lockdown, I could vary my veg box delivery a lot, and some weeks I might not get much if I fancied a lazy few days relying on my freezer stocks, which include my favourite ready meals.
Now, of course, the veg boxes are set contents, and I daren’t skip a week in case there’s a problem the next week, so that means I’m having to do a lot more cooking. My small freezer is full to bursting, so I can’t batch cook and freeze.
Still, it’s a lot better than not having any fresh veg at all! Plus, not having access to many supermarket deliveries does mean that I can’t get naughty treats very often, even if I have treat-binged when I have had a delivery! 😂
Brilliant news about the wool, by the way! Hopefully, it will have stirred the wool shop people to advertise deliveries on their website, if they have one, so you may have done them a huge favour!(I just lurve spiders!)

Definitely a see one want some thing going on here lol. I plan to do the simplest supper as I have online book club tonight - so will slice aubergines (bought yesterday) roast in olive oil with salt, pepper and chilli flakes, layer with the half jar of sauce I opened last week and grate cheese on top before baking for 20 minutes. Got a delivery this morning, and I think I went a bit bonkers with the asparagus!
Having only had one lot of asparagus this season, and with deliveries like hens’ teeth, I ordered three types and got the lot!
I think I might have to make asparagus soup with the basic ones, and sautée the fine tips in butter for a drool fest, and chop the stalks for a stir-fry additive.
I wonder if I’ll be sick of asparagus in a few days’ time? That’ll learn me! 😂😂o(I just lurve spiders!)
