Tonight we're having a cheats pulled pork using leftover gammon from the joint I cooked at the weekend; shredded it when it had cooled down and will reheat it tonight in some home made BBQ sauce.  Also using up the last of the potatoes to make some chips and will serve with coleslaw and salad bits from the fridge.

I've still got soup in the fridge but not much else. I hate shopping on Fridays but I have to go into at least one town to collect stuff for new family member tomorrow and we have to get a tag engraved so that might be the other (closer) town to raid the veg shelves today. I also have a 10% off butter offer but on its' own not worth the trip.

Yes, welcome @QueenJess - my frozen fruit and yogurt glasses now get a sprinkle mid way up of basic granola and a few nuts if I have them, because we don't cook or sweeten the fruit and the wonky supplies are pretty currant-y at the moment - so quite tart

Changed my menu plan a bit today as got a couple of peppers which need using!  So breakfast hash for breakfast using up some of the bacon bits topped with a couple of eggs.  Lunch will be stuffed peppers and topped with cheese.  Will need to buy some some peppers early next week as going to do a mid week roast instead of on Sunday (mainly because we're at my sister's on Saturday and she's doing a roast then).

Had a rummage in the fridge this morning to see what veg needed using up and planned around that. So lunch today was pasta with mushroom sauce and salad. Dinner is roast turkey, Yorkshire puddings, red cabbage (all leftover from Xmas), roast potatoes, cabbage and carrots.

Tomorrow’s dinner will be sweet potato and lentil curry (with half for the freezer) and Monday will be a chicken thigh casserole thing in mustard sauce to use up random root veg lying around (swede and parsnips mainly).

Anything else lying around will need to be used soon (new veg box arrives Thurs).  May make a red pepper and tomato soup as I have some peppers going wrinkly.

Also checked the fruit bowl and a soft apple was cooked into my porridge this morning with sultanas.

Last night's dinner used up a pack of meatballs, carrots, potatoes, some frozen kale and a pack of mushroom sauce. We did however forget to use up the last two giant mushrooms so they will go into tomorrow's breakfast.

Dinner tonight will be the last of the xmas cheese & meats with crackers, baguette, grapes, tomatoes and cucumber.

The lamb rogan josh that we had planned for tonight may have to wait until next week as we have some sausages and peppers that will need using up soon.

I can't believe it, just coming to the end of the little gem lettuce (whatever is left will go to the chickens so no waste) and have frozen half the sprouts and dehydrated a quarter of them, what did I pick up from Olio yesterday? 20 odd packs of little gem lettuce and another few bags of sprouts!

Managed to rehome a few, will leave a crate outside my gates for people to help themselves but am sure I won't get rid of all of them.  Thankfully I have salad most days so that will use some up.

Freezers are full again so need to take some time to meal plan today.

We collected new pup and immediately had to acquire puppy milk, chicken and Weetabix - for him. DH bought a reduced pack of five boned thighs, three of which I cooked (two are frozen) and we used about a third of one for his tea. It was mixed with dry food (known as kibble) and he carefully picked out the chicken and eat that, leaving most of the softened kibble! We had a chicken, roasted in a (French) Dutch Oven with enamel lining with a stock and some steamed cabbage, carrots, brussels and sad broccoli. I realised I had over six pints of milk so I also made a baked rice pudding with a pint and a half, that we can have today. It all needs to be easy at the moment as the Stealth Cat is on top of the wardrobe and pup is downstairs, both causing mayhem in their own way

Ooh new puppy!  Just popped over to your diary to read up - how exciting, congratulations!  We have cats so went the puppy route as well, it does make such a difference that they grow up knowing the cats are in charge  :D

That should be the case but Stealth Cat is a wimp - she was the runt of her litter, chosen for her quiet, gentle personality. She wears a bell but can navigate around without it ringing (imagine she grips it in her teeth, as it only rings when I test it!  B)) - anyway, she has ventured downstairs.

We had the last of the vegetable curry with some chicken stirred into it and some rice for supper. Fridge looking much better. I will make soup this morning using a bag of prepped squash from the freezer

Last night's dinner was stuffed pasta with spinach & mushrooms in a cream sauce. - OH's favorite 10 minute meal to make and he doesn't even notice that it's meat free monday!

Had a rather disappointing organic veg box delivery this morning -  I'd switched from UK produce to a mixed box as we'd grown tired of all root veg - turned out to be quite meager portions - I've costed it out against our regular delivery store & am a bit annoyed that the exact same veg would have cost 50% less from them.  Will have to give a real think as to ethics vs. cost as that amount saved each time could go straight to the mortgage or even saved up for the scary fuel price increases that are predicted!
