So - after a rocky start, Tesco have come through.
Perhaps consider changing the title of your thread then?

I think people with severe COPD qualify.

Have to say. The more I see how many handle this situation as a nation the more disappointed I am.

Wife and I are both registered on the government "extremely vulnerable" website and confined to our property for at least the next 12 weeks. No home delivery slots available to our area until after 19 April (which ATM is as far ahead as they show availability). Tried calling both the contact numbers to ask for info and help, selected option 2 "help with an order you wish to place or delivery slots", get a recorded message then line goes dead, so no way to speak to them, no email address, pathetic! We've used Tesco as our main grocery shop for decades, but as Sainsburys (and Waitrose) are/will be using the gov database to provide delivery slots to the extremely vulnerable, sounds like time we took our business elsewhere!
I’m in the same position, and emailed the CEO, Dave Lewis.

Someone replied, on his behalf, to say they were going to access the list for the 1.5 million notified by the government, and cross index with their customers.  At the point, they will email affected customers, to offer priority slots..

At the moment, they open the slots at midnight, whereupon the site often crashes due to people queuing.

Not sure how this priority system will work, or how long it will take though.

Sainsbury’s have done it, and they have, apparently, arranged to stop home deliveries to any non vulnerable customers for now:

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

Can't edit the title of the thread, tried yesterday!
Had an email from Tesco 4th April telling me we now have access to priority home delivery slots, so yesterday about 2pm I amended the C&C order we have for tomorrow then booked a home delivery slot, we now have (instead of select a time or flexible buttons) a select a priority slot button. Only 25th April was available (last day of the 3 weeks they show at any one time, but that was fine for us) so booked that and started an order. Logged on about 6 to show wife how it works, and no priority slots were avilable even on 25th April, so even with priority slots it's a case of get in quick and start an order!

Still no email invitation from Waitrose, but as we're OK for the next month I'm not bothered.

Yes, I got the email as well.  Managed to get a slot for 27th, but, as you say, it’s within an 8 hour window.

No problems with that, so hopefully it will be a bit easier now they have the list.

You shouldn't be taking slots which should go to vulnerable people very naughthy.
Utterly ridiculous comment. Where did I say I got a slot by claiming to be vulnerable .
You didn't ... but the child didn't say that you did either. Just that you shouldn't have taken a slot that could have gone to a vulnerable person. ;)
I saw nothing on Tesco's website warning me I wasn't entitled to a slot. I am recovering from Mild Coronavirus , ( allegedly this is what 80% of us who get it will get ) but I still don't consider myself vulnerable. As I understand it, the less I go out, along with everyone else, the better. Its also best for recuperation to rest.. Before anyone chimes in with " how do you know you've got it if you havent had a test, I see no point in paying £250 to get a test kit sent when I'm showing most of the classic symptoms . I'd rather pay for an antibody test whenever that's possible. As someone with no comorbidities, I'm hoping that as I will have the antibodies I'll be able to volunteer more

Unless you've had that confirmed by a medical professional, it's unwise for you to assert that or to assume that you are now able to volunteer your services in the community.

I can do the same social distancing as anyone else and I'm out of quarantine

Indeed you can, however it would be unwise to assume simply because you have had symptoms that you are less likely to become infected in future or that you cannot now pass it to others...
