You may find that Tesco will contact you about having home deliveries as a vulnerable person - this happened to my father with Sainsbury. They contacted him by email direct and gave him a date and time as to when the food will be delivered. He couldn't select a slot on line as you normally do,( and still can't). The timescale might be very short too. - my father was contacted on the Friday and the delivery was made the following Tuesday.

No contact yet from Tesco, still no home delivery or click and collect slots available at our location, same for Waitrose. Contemplating a naughty run to the smaller local Tesco on Sunday. There are many in our village more in need than us, so do not want to add to the village burden (always been an independant sod!) unless I do get the bug.

Chrishazle said:Wife and I are both registered on the government "extremely vulnerable" website and confined to our property for at least the next 12 weeks. No home delivery slots available to our area until after 19 April (which ATM is as far ahead as they show availability). Tried calling both the contact numbers to ask for info and help, selected option 2 "help with an order you wish to place or delivery slots", get a recorded message then line goes dead, so no way to speak to them, no email address, pathetic! We've used Tesco as our main grocery shop for decades, but as Sainsburys (and Waitrose) are/will be using the gov database to provide delivery slots to the extremely vulnerable, sounds like time we took our business elsewhere!1

Decided on one more try at the Tesco website about 6.15pm last night, and to my surprise a click and collect slot for next Tuesday was available - the only home delivery or C&C slot in the 3 weeks they show, and it had not been available earlier, I'd checked the site about 6 times through the day. So, big order placed which will see us OK for another couple of weeks. Then at 8am this morning the front doorbell woke us, a box of "emergency food supplies" courtesy of HM Government on the doorstep, presumably because I'd registered on the gov.uk site. Not impressed with the contents - longlife milk which we hate, box of a cereal we've never heard of etc., so trying to figure what to do with it so it doesn't go to waste! I didn't get to the front door fast enough to tell the delivery driver we did not need anything!0

So Tesco are not so useless and Waitrose and Sainsbury are as they still have no delivery available.1
