Whoopee, finally finished all my work reports. Had a Zoom meeting with my manager yesterday to discuss the last two, sat up late to finish the last one - got to bed just after 2pm which is late even for me. Sent it off for manager to check - don't usually do that as I'm a contractor, but it was such a tricky one - and got her approval at 11am. Was completely drained, hadn't realised how stressful it had all got but I think the last 4 being complex just did me in, what with trying not to check the BBC news too often and keeping up with social emails/phone calls/organising food etc. I couldn't work out what to do with myself I was so tired. Oddly, I decided to go for a run and that was a whole lot better even though the nasty yellow rape is coming out.
Spent the afternoon finishing clearing out the greenhouse and sowed a few seeds.
1 load through WM.
Set up credit card payment.
Took friend's dog for a walk.
Mr N and I have decided we'll spend much of the weekend in the garden, then tackle next week's flylist together so we get a real spring clean.
Task in the next week is to make a start on the tax return on the off chance I'll be offered some sort of arrangement while I'm not working. I'm far more fortunate than many self-employed people, but realistically I'm not too convinced the university will be wanting me to do any more assessments till the October term starts, although you never know.
Golly I can go to bed now and not be still writing a report. Happy weekend everyone, stay safe.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -
Round brilliant news. Enjoy your time off x
Everything that has been washed has been TD and folded up.
Braising steak is now in the SC for dinner tomorrow.

I'm off to try to chill, can't relax at all tonight for some reason.
I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged10 -

High five to RoundIt will be good to have you with us full-time xx
Yesterday evening I got to speak to DD and DGS1+2 (DSiL2 hardly ever talks to anyone, unless he happens to answer the phone!) and they are all well. Then I watched a brand new, fun video of DS2 and DGS4 on YT, so I know they're fine (DS2 is vulnerable so not going out), and I had spoken to DS1 and DGD1+2 in the morning (DS1 has recovered, DDiL1 is a few days behind). DH is plodding along in his usual fashion and had managed a very slightly longer walk in the sunshine yesterday while I was enjoying tending the veg plot (all of 36"x18") and planting more seeds. All that meant that I relaxed a bit
The washing is pretty well up to date, but I might take advantage of today's forecast to get the rest of DH's bedding on the line. I am now sitting in front of a big pile of papers which I must sort through as my first job today! I will do a few phonecalls later: my list of 84 is now down to 34, so I think it will still take me another couple of weeks to get through it - then I have to start all over again! A few need fortnightly or even weekly calls. I must also post some Easter cards (and will probably have to make a few, in order to have enough to go round) and a package to each set of grandchildren for their challenge competition
Take care everyone, stay safe and have a good day xx

Good morning!
I am awake! I have made a cuppa & gone back to bed with a pile of grow your own magazines & catalogues. I may be a while....... 😂 (I think this counts as flying as they were cluttering up the table in the LR!)
The plan today is more shredding, gardening and/or allotment. I considered going for a run, but the dog needs walking as well & I can only exercise once, so a choice needs to be made!
Have a good day everyone. Round I'm pleased work have given you time off - I can sense you are so much more relaxed now. Enjoy! 😊10 -
Morning ladies, slept poorly again, but it's sunny and I have a load in the WM so lots to be happy for.Not sure what today's plans, I do need stamps so may walk to post office for our daily exercise. I also have some seeds to sow which the kids can help with. Pie and chips for dinner. I ordered some plants from a local garden centre last night which is in danger of closing down, so £30 on things which will make me very happy and hopefully help in a tiny way for them to stay open.Hope all poorlies wake up feeling a bit better. Have lovely days all xx11

Morning all
Another broken night’s sleep, stressing about maybe having to go shopping soon and having to be near other people. So today’s plan is to be outside as much as possible, to see if that helps. In the sunny weather - except that at the moment it is cloudy and grey here atm. Fingers crossed it cheers up soon. Plenty of jobs indoors to do, if it doesn’t.I hope that pooorlies are getting better.
So, round, is weekend willie on the way to keep us all entertained? 😉 So pleased that you got your time off, hope DS is all the better for it x
Back later, guess I have to get dressed to go outside....11
