Presumably travel insurance is worthless as travel company have issued credit notes.0

It has been reported that many travel insurance companies are indeed of the opinion that if a credit note is issued by the travel firm then there is no insured loss to pay out on.0

This might be of help to someone in the same situation. Booked a package holiday with LH and have been offered travel voucher for hotel cost instead of refund. I’ve requested refund from airline who are processing it.
I was paying in instalments and the last instalment was taken after the holiday was already cancelled. Received an email today to say they made an error in taking that payment and will refund it in cash.I’m hoping this is not some automatic email that gets sent out when a holiday is cancelled.0 -
Due to travel on Saturday. Flights cancelled by Easyjet. Loveholidays have cancelled my hotel booking but I've heard nothing since. I assume I will be getting a voucher as opposed to a refund. Am I more protected if I rebook the hotel for next year instead of just leaving the voucher? This is if Loveholidays go under.0

I have now made two calls to Love Holidays for a package trip they booked on my behalf. I've had notification from Easyjet that the flights have been cancelled and advised Love Holidays of this and they said I should arrange the refund myself with Easyjet. Easyjet's website states that flights booked via tour operator should be refunded via tour operator. I asked for a refund from Love Holidays, minus the flight element, of which they offered a credit note, which I don't want. What are my rights on a cash refund?0

It is Love Holidays you have a contract with, so EasyJet are correct.
You are entitled to a cash refund, but you probably won't be getting one anytime soon.1 -
How do I get my money back?0
