How do I prove I'm driving to work?

Under English law wouldn't they have to prove you weren't going to/from work (or one of the other permitted reasons). As long as you are on a reasonable home-work route how are they going to do that?0

My point is I could lie and just say I'm traveling to work to fob the police off, but really could be visiting a friend or something, when that is not allowed.
Or am I over reacting, these are strange times.0 -

Or something along those lines.0 -
If you get pulled, just be polite, and tell them you're going to work, and where you work.
I can't see it being a problem.
It's the people with "attitude" who are going to have a problem.
But if you're worried, as already said, just get a letter from work.0 -
You just say " Im heading to work/on my way home from work"
Would you really be away visiting a friend??
The news I saw last night of people being pulled were when there were two or more people in a car, most notably the ones who had dogs in the car0 -

My son's employer has issued the staff with letters to show to the police if stopped.

I cant see many fines standing up should they be challenged. Surely the law is innocent until proven guilty so they would have to prove you didnt have good reason.and it wouldnt be difficult for you to prove innocence, you would just get your boss to say you were working.0

But then again when last did you have a boss?
