Hoseasons cancelled my holiday. Refund?

They won’t refund under any circumstances, there is no option other than to take a voucher/ rearrange the booking.Claiming on CC or insurance won’t work either due to their offer of credit voucher.
It’s taken me 3 weeks to rearrange our May holiday to the same time next year.I’m not happy but I suppose that by keeping everyone’s money, they should at least stay in business.0 -
Hi my break with Hoseasons was cancelled so I contacted them for a refund. I was told this was possible but I would have to claim on my cancellation policy if I wasn't accepting a transfer of dates. I'm self employed and therefore needed the refund due to loss of earnings right now as I cant work. They have deduced £155 of charges for using the cancellation policy. Some is an admin fee some is the price of the policy? Are they allowed to do this under the current circumstances as I've lost £155 of my holiday refund? It seems unfair in the current climate when they are unable to offer me the holiday too. Thank you kind regards Rachel Harding0

Hi, what kind of break was it as looks like they have different T&Cs
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

Hi there thank you for replying. It was a holiday cottage on a holiday park in the UK. Self catering accommodation. Thanks0

Ask for in writing what the deduction is for and ask them to point out which clause they are using for the deduction.

Hi, I'm currently exasperated with hoseasons and amazed they are allowed to get away with what they are doing !! Centre Parcs are in my opinion the front runner offering £100 off another holiday OR a full refund. I booked my holiday for 3rd April for a week. I've rang...emailed ...messaged on Facebook and had no help at all. I've received an automated holiday voucher which I do not want. I need help

Hoseasons are refusing to give my mum and I refund on the holiday that we should have had April 10th - 17th and are insisting that they can only give us a credit note (which they haven't given us yet) to book a holiday at a later date. They cancelled the holiday and we had insurance which they say doesn't cover this cancellation. However I am a profoundly deaf person who has an assistant dog (she is a hearing dog) and I teach which means that I am very limited to when and where I can book and therefore really do need the money back - particularly as I live alone and only have my salary to exist on. Mum is a pensioner and so is equally short of money. We have tried emailing and mum has tried phoning (I am unable to do this due to my deafness) and we have not had a response. It is very frustrating. Could anybody help us?0

My daughter booked a holiday for herself two children and myself and husband. We were due to go to a holiday park in Wales booked through Hoseasons on 11th April 2020 for a week. They were not giving any option of a refund but just a 're booking. Are we not entitled to refund as obviously they cancelled not us.0

Hundreds of posts re Hoseasons and affiliated companies. Some people are taking legal action others just rebooking and others just waiting to see what happens. I am one of the latter. I have been sent an evoucher which I have not yet activated because am not even sure when I can rebook for? The email states that I have to book before 31st December this year otherwise the voucher becomes invalid? The holiday itself can be taken anytime before 31st December 2021 (some people are mis reading this bit)
I am avidly waiting to see what happens to the money for people who simply cannot rebook for a variety of genuine reasons? Such as some were coming from abroad, some were going with several others and can't all arrange holiday dates before December for next year, if at all. Some were for special occasions that will have long past. Some were taking terminally ill relatives who may not be able to rebook. The list goes on and on but so far there has been no budge on the no refunds as far as I can tell.
I am also keen to know if the 'agents' are actually withholding money that is meant for cottage owners legally? The owners are not getting any money until AFTER the holiday has been taken and if people simply can't rebook (for whatever reason) are they then legally entitled to pocket the money? I can't see it, but so far, nobody seems to know.
