Just a success story I wanted to share. Was meant to fly out in mid April but holiday was cancelled. Loveholidays have refunded my hotel cost, but transfer costs of £80 was non refundable. They’re awaiting Ryanair refund so they can pass it on to me.So for those still waiting, good luck and fingers crossed you get yours too.1

Good morning, I am due to Fly to Portugal on 29/07/2020, I haven’t heard anything apart from booking my seats on the plane. I am worried about going and so are my children. I have no way of going into quarantine for 14 days after 10 days on holiday due to work and sharing holiday with fellow workers who need time off with children. I have paid in full and I’m just worried that the money for a very much needed holiday will be wasted, something which I and no doubt others have worked hard for. Please advise.0

Unless loveholidays cancel the holiday you will not get a refund.
Travel insurance claim will fail due to disinclination to travel , as would a section 75 claimEx forum ambassador

can you transfer your holiday to someone else who can go instead of you as they are able to self isolate, this is a possibility for me0

Hi looking for some advice regarding a holiday booked with LoveHolidays.I was due to fly out at the start of July to Mallorca, flying out with Ryanair and coming home on a Jet2 flight this was all booked with the hotel through Love Holidays. We had an email from Jet2 saying the flight home was cancelled and the love holidays website stated that holidays on our date were not going ahead. We emailed our hotel who told us that they were closed and not taking holiday makers.Jet2 confirmed we were due a refund as this flight was cancelled but Love holidays are now saying we will have to contact Ryanair separately ourselves to claim that flight back however this flight did take place- but how could we go on holiday without a flight home and a without a hotel?I understand Ryanair will not care as in their eyes the flight went out but I would like to take this further with Love Holidays as this was a package holiday booked with them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.0

You are correct that if the Ryanair flight went ahead, Ryanair will not care, you were just a no show to them. However it isn’t Ryanair’s responsibility to do anything for you. Love Holidays sold you a package so they should refund you. It is your right under the Package Holiday and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.
The only niggle here is did you cancel the holiday, or did Love Holidays? You mention you dealt with Jet2 and you spoke to the hotel. Love Holidays might be treating it as a customer cancellation, which might get them off the hook, unless you had confirmation from them your holiday was cancelled.0 -
Thank you for getting back to me, as you can imagine it’s difficult to speak to anyone at LoveHolidays about this.We were due to fly on July 3rd and up to that date everything was slow as to wether foreign travel was allowed. We didn’t actually cancel as we were told by them that if we cancelled we would lose the balance payed. We left it as long as possible and around 6 days before we were due to fly the LoveHolidays website clearly stated all holidays up to and including departures on July 5th were cancelled so we left it at that.We later had an email from LoveHolidays offering us vouchers by which we replied and stated we would like a refund rather than postponing. Since then we’ve had confirmation from Jet 2 that they’ll refund their flight but Love Holidays say we are to contact Ryanair who obviously like you say won’t and don’t care.As it was all booked through Love Holidays surely they should be sorting this as it was a package that was booked with them? Appreciate any advice or ideas on where to go with this.Kind regards0
