This thread has reminded me that I do need to wash mine...
bucket, sponge, turtlewax, vacuum. jobs a good 'un for about 40p. yes you do get perfectionist when cleaning your own car, and it can take a couple of hours, but think of all the energy burnt and exercise and fresh air
proper money-saving!
paying £6+ to do something you can do yourself is not money saving0 -
One of my cars gets washed every fortnight (approx) in the summer and a bit less frequently in the winter.
It gets Autoglym car shampoo in a bucket of warm water applied with a mitt (not a sponge, sponges pick up imperfections and force them against the paintwork) then hosed off and Polished with SRP if I can be bothered. The alloys get done with a generic cheapo wheel cleaner and wheel brush. All gets hosed off and left to dry outside of direct sunlight - works beautifully.
The other car has prob only seen a wash twice since the late 80s.... I like it looking ratty but will prob get it resprayed at some pointProud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0
