Life__Goes__On said:Kashter said:I was due a hotel stay at the beginning of April. As the flights were cancelled, I cancelled and Ive been chasing a refund since March. I have been told over the phone that my refund will be processed, but they didnt know when. After 2 months of being told this, I asked my credit card company what they can do. Theyve initiated a dispute and have credited the amount back to me, but warned that I would need to pay the amount back if I lose the dispute, which could take months.By comolete coincidence, I came off the phone to a new email from last minute.com offering me three options - credit note (12 months), voucher (12 months) and full refund.Having read the t&cs, the full refund will be subject to the hotel's covid policy and may even include the hotel giving me a vocher. At this point I would need to deal with them. The t&cs for the credit note are that I can use it for all flights or hotels bookings on lastminute.com and I can get a full refund if I dont use it in 6 months, which sounds a little too good to be true.0

I'm not sure of the lockdown rules with Turkey.
If the hotel was open, then you might not get anything back ( as no breach)
If you paid LM (how it is on your statement, the LM should refund you and the hotel refund LM if they cancelled

BA said flight was cancelled and last minute said I can’t have a refund only a credit voucher. Really upset tbh
If cancelled you are due a cash refund (LM can deduct their fees from that, as long as they are fair)0 -

What did you book? was it hotel & flights booked at the same time or separately ?
What method of payment did you use? is it shown as one transaction?

My Flight+Hotel "package" has been now been cancelled. As mentioned earlier, despite paying one price, my credit card was charged separately by LM (for flights) and directly by the hotel.
The hotel have contacted me directly on WhatsApp to offer a voucher (not yet sure on terms of the voucher).
Should I be waiting for LM to do the refund for the whole package?
Am I even meant to be dealing with the hotel direct?0 -

People are booking a "package holiday" with LM and then finding out (by the way it's billed) it's a linked travel arrangement.
It's looking like people have been mis-sold.
With a "package holiday" you will be able to claim everything back from LM.
But with linked travel, you have to claim back flights from LM and then the accommodation with the hotel.

I've had a look through my booking and I can't see mention of "linked travel". There are a few references to "package" including in the ATOL certificate and the cancellation email.
LM haven't offered a refund yet so I will wait until they do. Is there anything I can do about the package potentially not being a "package"?0 -

But feel it's a waiting game atm to see how LM handle it
