I've had a look through my booking and I can't see mention of "linked travel". There are a few references to "package" including in the ATOL certificate and the cancellation email.
LM haven't offered a refund yet so I will wait until they do.  Is there anything I can do about the package potentially not being a "package"?
    You could complain to ABTA
But feel it's a waiting game atm to see how LM handle it
We are stilling trying to get Lastminute to amend the refund amount to be the total Flight+Hotel amount rather than just the Flight component. We eventually spoke to Lastminute who told us clearly that they only cover the flight in this instance, but if we had an issue with this, we should mail CustomerCare to escalate. We have done this 3 times now.....perhaps not surprisingly they are just ignoring us. So one more phone call, then we will need to work out who we complain to.
Whenever things do get back to some level of normal, we wont be considering lastminute again (noting that all travel companies have severely damaged reputations now) !

I'd be interested to know how you get on, seems I'm in the same boat.

LM have given me my refund options - a credit note (+£200 gift card), a voucher or a cash refund.
These only cover the flight costs "Since the accommodation part of your payment was due directly to the provider, the value of this will not be included..."  This is even more frustrating as in the refund T+Cs they refer to the "flight + hotel package" (my bold)

What ever happens with this, this will be the first and last time I use LM

On the bottom right hand of your ATOL certificate  does it say Package (Single Contract) ?

Ah that's interesting I'm sure some bod on here will avail us of the technical difference between those and whether it has any legal bearing.
Was your hotel element provided by Travelscape LLC ?

It would make it a "linked travel",  not part of a "package holiday"

I’ve run out of patience with both LM and Barclaycard. I’m working for the next few days, but if I don’t have a response from either of them by Monday, I’m going to send a letter before action (LBA) followed 14 days later by filing a court claim.

Rereading the legal   "Package holiday" rules    LM might  be saying you have a linked travel,  but it should be classed a package holiday.

I heard back from AMEX who submitted a dispute for me and refunded me the full amounts back.

They did tell me that timescales for a response are blown out of the water and could be months before I know the outcome of the dispute. If i lose I will have to oay back.

Its a fee paying card from year 2 so would have cancelled by now. Not sure if AMEX will fight my corner if I do end the card. Any advice?
