Hi we were due to fly Glasgow to Toronto June 30th but received an email saying they have changed planes do original seat bookings have changed. On checking the email they have us flying out three days earlier, which means we can't go due to work also the added cost for accommodation, can they do this0

However going on Air Transat’s form they will make it as difficult as they can for you to get it.
you need to state in writing your request for a full refund, should they refuse just start a charge back0 -
Following my earlier post on 23rd August, last week I received an offer of the remaining part of my fare which was being held as a credit on my account. The fare for the outbound flight had been refunded last year. I accepted the refund offer and today my credit card was credited with the correct amount. I have no idea why this offer was made - perhaps as a result of a court ruling in Canada or elsewhere.0

I've just done a bit of searching and it looks like AT have done a deal with the Canadian government, a condition of which is to offer refunds to passengers. https://www.cp24.com/news/transat-at-reaches-700-million-aid-deal-with-federal-government-1.54069620

I have had the same from Air Canada. We got our airfare to and from Canada with Airtransat reimbursed through a chargeback last year. We also had one internal flight with Air Canada, and received vouchers for this, which we felt we would never be able to use. This week we had an email from Air Canada inviting us to apply for a refund! Hope it comes through quickly!
This feels like a bonus, as we had really written off this loss. So pleased the Canadian government have seen the light, after encouraging the airlines to only offer vouchers originally.0
