usually on Twitter they are pretty quick, although they will ask you to send them a DM (Direct Message)
which looks like they are keen to help, but everyone gets the same knock back via DM0 -

Thanks for all your comments everyone. I am just beginning to joint the fight - I am due to fly this Friday and had thought I'd have to wait until that date passed. I have received an email with vouchers - it wasn't possible to reply.
I have so far made a complaint as per earlier links and am about to email passengercomplaints@caa.co.uk and get onto Air transat on FB to reject their vouchers.
I'm going to cite EU261/2004 and also the April update that the TA released saying that they legally have an obligation to refund full cost of tickets if vouchers are refused. I suspect I'll get the same form responses that everyone else has.
Step 2 will be a complaint to Air Transat followed by applying for charge back from credit card company.
Will let you know how I get on...

Have only just discovered this forum. Having neither Twitter or Facebook, through choice, how does one contact Air Transat directly. I booked through Canadian Affairs and so far, although they have promised me a refund of the flights (I booked Premium Economy because of spinal problems) they have said I will only get vouchers from Air Transat (so far no vouchers or actual refund). My flight out was 29th May. Thanks.

It is vital all Air Transat passengers complain to the CAA regarding their total refusal to offer refunds. It is a clear breach of the law and if you booked through another company, particularly Canadian Affair which is a subsidiary of Air Transat, you may have difficulty making a chargeback claim against your card issuer. The CAA has promised to take action against airlines breaking the rules, and as the airline is announcing that it is starting to fly from the UK again at the end of July, this ought to be resolved before they start again. Complaints can be sent to passengercomplaints@caa.co.uk0

Thanks Jem16 and Life_Goes_on: I booked with Canadian Affairs, (by Credit Card), so presumably I should confirm in writing to them that I want a cash refund and if they say no, then do a Chargeback. I did discuss a refund over the phone and was turned down (allegedly by Air Transat). Vouchers are useless to me as because of my spinal problem I doubt I will ever again go to Canada.
Thanks for your responses.
