i'm gutted and feel ripped off now. there's no mention of this on any of feedback given by previous buyers.

I'm guessing that at £119 from HK you've bought a ds lite with 8 / 17/ 18 games depending on the supplier??

if so, then consider it a form of indirect tax since you've managed to obtain a number of nintendo games without Nintendo financing from it...if you get my drift:rolleyes:

Why didn't you just buy a £95 ds lite from the UK and get an R4?

this euro site will help you with imported duty rates/tariffs.
not sure about the nintendo, but a digital camera is 4.2% duty, plus the dreaded vat.
generally you can reckon on paying approx 20% total import charges.
(beware some items/goods are zero rated and others are very high rated).

In your first post you said parcel force have said you have to pay a fee. Now you say it's still at customs. Which is it?

If parcel force have told you how much to pay you wont get it until you have paid.
If it's still in customs then how would parcel force know how much you owe?
You should have got a letter if parcel force have it with a number you can call and pay by card over the phone.

as i stated it is still at customs. i have tried to contact parcel force and customs without success. i want to pay the fees due, however i have not had any correspondence. also why are being so abrupt in your response. i am only after advice.

its not at customs.if it was at customs then why would parcelforce be involved?
parcelforce will have paid the customs levy and transported it to your nearest depot.

I think it is £36 if the item is a gift (or marked as a gift).

    I wasn't being abrupt.
As custardy has said if parcel force have got involved then your item is not at customs but at your depot.
Last time I imported something I received a letter from parcel force stating how much was owed and a phone number to call that I could put my credit card details in and the parcel was delivered a couple of days later.
Have you received this letter or any other letter?

If they said it was coming from London the that is misrepresentation (not really much you can do about it though) and I think he should push for the full amount.

    Got the item number?
