Hi gang,
@princess_pea - lovely news! Congratulations.
Oh no @ziggy2407, I hope you get hot water soon. I guess if you are in a high risk group it is more about you being happy to let someone in rather than them not wanting to come out to you, right?! I think getting hot water is pretty urgent though so, if you're comfortable letting someone in, you'd just need to not get close to them and wash what they touch etc before you touch it... Wash your hands before and after their visit and don't touch your face etc... Big hugs to you.
I went out a walk today and will probably be doing the same for the foreseeable as all of our wee classes have been cancelled.
Our online shop came yesterday and our next one is booked for a week on Friday - I usually get them weekly so that will be a few extra days. I'm pretty sure we have lots in and it will give us a chance to get creative raiding the cupboards. Our veg box is also due tomorrow so it's all good. 😊 Even if we didn't do a shop we'd be having soup and home made bread every night - no biggie in the grand scheme of things...right?!
Apart from that I'm watching Love is Blind on Netflix - great compulsive viewing to pass the time 🤣
I need to sort YNAB tonight - kinda did most of it yesterday but got distracted...
Take care everyone!

Unless you run out of butter. That would be a sad time.La_escocesa said:Our online shop came yesterday and our next one is booked for a week on Friday - I usually get them weekly so that will be a few extra days. Evening all
Congratulations to Princess Pea
And Ziggy, I hope your day got better and you got your hot water sorted out
Bored.com today, and couldn't really settle to anything. Life seems very strange at the moment.Walked to the surgery this afternoon to pick up my prescription, OH came and we took the dog, we all needed the exercise.Using up tired fruit for breakfastsFolded up washing on airer and prepped RM surveys itemsFridge bits for lunch, pate, toast, HM chutney and salad, very nice.Dinner was the rest of the bolognese I made yesterday, this time with jacket potatoes and HM coleslawFreecycled some plants I didn't want to keepNo shopping, I am going to try to avoid until absolutely necessary as I really want to avoid manic supermarkets. I have a good store cupboard and full freezers, and now is the time to use them! Will try the corner shop first if I run out of anything vital.Strange, warm, cloudy weather today, and it is raining nowHoping to feel a bit more motivated tomorrow!

Morning folks
I thought I'd had a cracking long sleep but it turned out to be 6am
Just getting myself going. I'm just getting a new app set up. It's called DroidCam and it turns my phone into a webcam. For those of us working from home at the moment, this might be useful. It is, of course, free
It cerrtainly was very easy to set up and connected ok to Microsoft Teams. I just need my colleagues to log on and see if they can see/hear me. Worked great. It works as a microphone and camera but you will need separate headphones.
Well we're not going anywhere today (obvs) but I don't think we really would have been anyway. And all OH's gigs are cancelled which is both good and bad.
My plans for today are:
B/L/D from stores - done
Make meal plan - done
Check PMP - done
Use saved bath water to flush loo - done
Only check news after daily breifing to see what I should/shouldn't do next - done
Get out into the garden and give all the hedges a good clipping - done
Poss work on the prep in the utility room - not today
Crochet - done
Will add more as I go
Have a safe day all

Boring tasks here today:Investigate musty smell in larderClean bathroom and kitchen floorsSort out at least one cupboardPost some RM surveys stuffMake a spinach and feta pie (better get stuff out of freezer!)It is raining, so the chances of gardening are remote, unless it clears up. If it does, I will get the old folding garden table that I use for potting out of the garage and pot on the first batch of tomato seedlings, and clean the mini greenhouse after getting rid of some unwanted plants to a freecycler yesterday. No shopping plannedHopefully I will be able to add more to this list, as I am determined not to sit around as I did yesterday!Hope everyone has a good day.5 -
Morning Carrie and dawn and all who follow. No going out here either, but DH will pop out for a few errands. Last night I sat with the smalls and made a list of jobs we want to do in the next few weeks, a bit like a longer annoying jobs lists. The good thing is that stuff will have to be 'shopped from home' as per foxgloves so if we get them done it should be satisfying and cheap!Today's list:
update online shopping order
knit
triage fridge
DH to post some cards I didn't get round to yesterday
no washing required today 😀
small to prepaid activity. We have 1 still going, the rest have been cancelled.Check banking and update budget sheet. I've received £50 cash back for something
check on delivery for something we ordered last night. We had just over £30 of vouchers towards it that had come from just for points card or £co 😇Have a good day all. Purps.5 -

Morning. Finally been given the OK to work from home from now on. Had been building up courage to tell them I just wasn't going in. Have taken money from joint account to pay for last bits of food and some fuel, not a full tank as we won't be goign far over the next month or so!
No idea how we will manage to WFH with DD off school.
Wondering if I should reduce CC payments to the minimum and stash the extra? But I've been enjoying seeing those balances reduce! Just worried as nobody knows what will happen and although savings rates have been reduced that's not going to be the same for CC interest charges!
Am finding it much harder than usual to concentrate at home. Lack of sleep. Awful night for 5th night in a row since my workplace started announcing big changes for the virus.
Hope everyone is OK and stang as sane as any of us can be in these very strange times. Let me know what you think about CC minimums, please!

December 2020 target = £18212 and nothing added to CCs AND by paying an extra 20 a month on something I just knocked 8 months off my target date :-)3 -
Evening folks
@ziggy2407 - I'm glad you're feeling brighter
@TryingAgain2022 - re the minimums... are the cards closed? If not, I would probably carry on paying them down unless you don't have an emergency fund, or your work pay is in jeopardy.
Had a lovely note through the door from the neighbours, checking that we were ok
Busy day in the garden but got some cracking work done. OH suddenly sprung into action and has set up his online facebook music page and has started offering Skype lessons. We have already had some queries so we spent the afternoon testing the phone webcam setup. The microphone was no good so we have raided the music equipment budget pot and bought a better USB microphone. Fingers crossed, this could be a good source of income for us!
If anyone reading is lonely and needs to gab, please come and post. We are a very friendly bunch
