Bluestone Mortgages

  • I'm hoping today my broker comes good and my concern is unfounded! Fingers and toes crossed!
It took 31 days for us to get our DIP (17th Feb to 19th March) but it was always in the front of my mind that we were going with Bluestone for a reason so we HAD to be patient.
We also used Simply and they were nothing short of incredible - it took a long time (as is expected) but they kept us updated daily, even if just to say 'there is no update' or 'the timescales have changed'. That said, prior to 17th Feb we were speaking to a different broker who was very hard work, he was also trying to get us a DIP with Bluestone but didn't keep us updated and eventually went completely silent before accusing me of opening loads of new credit accounts- which I hadn't!!

I'm pleased to say my broker came good, DIP is in place and now moving to full application. I was clearly being a little impatient so I have slapped myself on the wrists :) thanks everyone who helped out both in dms and in the public channels :D

Honestly it’s so hard. My application went in last Monday and I haven’t slept!

It’s 12 working days today our buyers have been waiting for underwriters to look at their application. What experience have others had re bluestone and underwriters? Is it a bad sign it’s taking this length of time?

We had our DIP on the 25th June and we’re still awaiting our valuation. Should hopefully hear back tomorrow regarding that!

No it's not a bad sign. Re-read all your other posts and the replies, the information remains the same.

So still with underwriters? Blimey 😳 lol think I’m being optimist (or my buyers are) that they’ll get an answer early this week re offer (or not! 😱). They haven’t even been told if got offer, never mind valuation!

DIP, application, underwriter review, valuation, underwriter review, mortgage offer.

That's the process, there is no offer before valuation as they don't know if your property is suitable lending security.

All mortgages are slow at the moment due to Covid.
