Do bluestones always require credit cards to be paid off or does this also depend on circumstances?
Must depend on circumstances.. we are a right to buy so smaller loan amount but not been given any special conditions
  • @Slou123 it depends, with ours we need to have paid off our car finance by completion but your MA would have let you know by now, we were given 2 mortgage illustrations one with the car paid off and one without. We decided to go with the car paid off as the car is a money pit so it’s given us the motivation to get rid of it

Hi guys! Just a little insight into our journey with Bluestone, thought it may help some of you!! From our full mortgage application being submitted to offer was 2 weeks (a couple of additional questions asked but that was it). We completed on 21st April and it was such a smooth process!! No further checks between offer and completion and the funds were drawn down with ease by our solicitors. The whole process was so nerve wracking but stick at it you will get there!!!
  • @AR2022 oh that’s good to know! My MA is hoping our offer should be in soon, she is waiting for it to go to the underwriter but she thinks it will be soon
Two weeks for us will be Monday coming
  • We finally completed today! Got AIP on 7th January, offer on 7th February, completed on 17th May.
Getting the mortgage was the easy bit although Bluestone were a pain right at end demanding loads of forms from my parents (we were buying the house from them), but we got there in the end!
  • Congrats @feelinghopefull2022 enjoy your home I hope you have lots of happy times there

@feelinghopefull2022 I’m meant to be completing Friday and yesterday the solicitor said that bluestone were happy with all enquiries. Do you know how long it took them to release funds to your solicitor?xx
  • @jamiebuyer I was told my solicitor it’s the day before completion they release the funds

Thank you for replying to me! I’ve been a nervous reck today as the solicitor hasn’t replied and I was worried it wouldn’t go through on the 20th xx
