Well we should of had the valuation done this morning, but had a phonecall at 10am to say the person who was suppose to be doing it has had an injury and unable to drive. That they are hoping he will be better for Monday. So rescheduled to Monday now.

So we put in the full application 17th August. They requested more info, quite alot really to clarify what certain payments were for, had to send ID for the 2nd time, confirmation we accept the product they offered, had to give distance for address to work place, what childcare arrangements are in place, Employers HR address.......
Sent all this info straight away on the 17th August.
Had no more correspondence until 9th September to say pay the valuation fee, paid immediately.
20th September the Surveyors contacted us to say they will come 29th to do the valuation. Which has been cancelled and now is Monday 4th October.
Wrote this hoping it just gives you a little insight into our timeline. Hope it goes more quicker for you.
We are first time buyers, buying my mother in laws house and gift deposits so think this has made it slightly more complicated.0 -

Hopefully it’s good news that it’s at valuation stage Atleast, as surely it wouldn’t get this far. 🤞🏼🤞🏼1 -
Kerrylou2 said:Our case is currently with an underwriter - am expecting questions but fingers crossed all goes ok 🤞🏼 Question re valuation - I’m applying for a remortgage - will they still do a valuation of the property? If so - are the fees included in the mortgage or do u need to pay the valuation fee upfront? Thanks 👍🏼0

From what I’ve read on this thread they make you work for your offer! We’ve definitely worked for it now!! 😂
if you have a look on the illustration they’ve sent you it should tell you the costs you have to pay, our valuation fee is on there. I think they also charge a fee for the mortgage but they are adding that to our mortgage.0 -
