@Samfaye01 goodness me all those things that many weeks later! What else do they need?! We haven’t been asked for anything else our MA gave everything and I mean everything! They got an employee reference for myself last week and queried my partners bank statements for a couple transactions. The silence is killing me I don’t know where we stand.0

@Samfaye01 we are the exact same. 5 weeks seems like 5 months! I will do, you too. No we just went with a MA we knew. Are you? I keep seeing Brightstar through this thread but something I’m not familiar with, sounds like they are pretty slow...0

We had to use a 'packer for our case so have to go through Brightstar. Broker said we are back in a queue now so could be 8 days, he said valuation might be soon as we have requested it. Its just so tireing now.Firsttimebuyer_04 said:@Samfaye01 we are the exact same. 5 weeks seems like 5 months! I will do, you too. No we just went with a MA we knew. Are you? Hi there, been a silent watcher of this group, and we got our offer yesterday!A lot of hoops and paperwork but it’s all worth it. Good luck everyone.DIP in November
full application 19th jan
valuation 25th feb
offer 8th March
Only tip is to without them asking just send each months bank statements and payslips to your MA when they come... save you some time as they will ALWAYS ask for them0 -
@Samfaye01 it’s one thing after another. I’m also concerned about this whole gifted deposit thing. My grandparent is giving us some money and my solicitor said just beware as BS always want legal advice to be taken out for giftors! When myself and my boyfriend have most of the deposit.0

We had to provide evidence that my parents had sought independent financial advice and a declaration of solvency.Firsttimebuyer_04 said:@Samfaye01 it’s one thing after another. It's definitely worth bearing in mind that they may ask for this and this will cost extra.1 -

My parents are getting their independent legal advice tomorrow. The solicitor said they just need the mortgage offer and the independent legal advice form, is that right? I don’t want any delays. What’s the declaration of solvency? Is that for them to do?Thanks 😊0 -
There were some wording Bluestone needed in relation to the legal advice, along of lines of they understood the implications etc. The Declaration of solvency is a legal document which had to be drawn up by my parents solicitor, it basically says they are solvent and are not aware of any pending bankruptcy, or anyone pursuing them for monies owed, and the gift is not a way of avoiding such proceedings.mrpuggle said:
