We have had another DIP for our new build
one thing they have asked is our solicitor on their panel? And that if they aren’t then we would have to use one that was. Anyone had issues with this?
You do need to find one that's on their panel, your MA should send you a list to choose from. There are loads on the list and you dont need a local solicitor these days either.

Does anyone know what's the current turnaround on underwriting if bluestone have said they now have everything they need?
Desperate to get a valuation instructed.
We are 8 weeks into our application, In went in on the 23/12 our valuation was on the 18/01 we've been informed now that it's gone into final underwrite and sign off if all being well, brightstar said at the moment it's a 48 hour turnaround on the last hurdle.
Congrats on your offer! Do you know why it took so long after your valuation was done? I'm seeing a lot of offers 2 weeks after valuation, was yours an unusual case?
Thank you 😁 We're not sure as to why it took so long, it could be that the valuation done first time round was done for shared ownership instead of help to buy that we're using?  Our case wasn't that complicated really an old 3 year ccj and a default a year and a half ago that's settled.  Just glad this bit is over with now, and on to the next stage of being moved in by the 31st March 🙈 doesn't help bluestone ask for extra documentation then take up to 6 working days to actually view them, so each time they ask for stuff it adds another week on 🙈
  • Hi, do any of you recommend your mortgage broker? I’m going to be putting a mortgage application in with an adverse lender soon and i’m looking for a mortgage broker who is experienced in this that doesn’t cost a fortune.
    Thank you

@ACG I highly rate him and have recommended him several times. When it's time to remortgage to a mainstream lender I will be having him deal with that.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • luckily the solicitors are on their panel!
i am just filling all the forms in again through simply and they ask do we have life insurance etc, we don't at the moment but i know we will have too, does it matter for the application or should i set something up
