  • it was on offer sent to my solicitor
  • My application has still not been looked at and it went in on 8th Feb  how long have people waited for a valuation date ?

  • Looks like we don’t need to pay anything off then! Very strange! It seems everyone has such a different experience and no one has the same journey to offer!

For us it was 3 weeks from last document of full application to hear back on anything which was request for new docs. We submitted full app on 22nd Jan and today they’re still requesting documents with no valuation done (but paid for)

We had our mortgage offer on the 25th Jan, it has special conditions, pay off debts (already did in Nov) and parents providing gift to have sought legal advice etc. These conditions have held us up, trying to provide the exact paperwork they need, typical bluestone turnaround. Hoping to exchange this week or early next and complete next Friday all being well.
Can I ask why did they ask parents to seek legal advice? We have parents and a grandmother gifting money but they’ve not asked us to do that (yet). That sounds like a nightmare
Yeah we had the same. Had to take out indemnity policy to cover the cost of the property for the gifted deposit so that the gifters cannot make a claim on any of that in case of bankruptcy. It was fairly straightforward as our solicitors sorted that for £174 for us. It's not something you find out about until your offer  comes through with the conditions stated. Please bear in mind there may be other conditions you won't know about until you get the offer such as paying off some debts but everyone's case is different.
Can I ask where the conditions are on the offer as all we have is the offer and asking for me to provide recent payslip to prove I’m still not receiving furlough. We originally applied and said we’d pay off all debts but there’s nothing I can see in my mortgage off that dates that this is a condition.
It's different for everyone and based on personal circumstances I guess. I also got one for my payslip in addition to paying off one of my husband's historic loans. They also put a condition on for a Clear Coal Mining Report on ours which thankfully only has a historic subsidence claim on but  they were happy with that.

Ours went in on 15th of January, they asked for more documents 3 times, the last time was Saturday, hoping to have valuation instructed this week or we wont get through before stamp duty applies. It's the only thing we're waiting for now 🤦‍♀️

Ours went in end of Jan, hard search completed on 2/2, request for further information on 10/2 & submitted same day. Was told by MA on 19/2 that we were still in underwriter queue & not heard anything since! AARRGGHH!!!!

Your MA should be able to log into the portal and see if they have looked at stuff yet or where you are in the que. Might give you a better idea of time scales, they were quick until fen and seem to have slowed down a lot.  Bluestone have loads of their own forms they can ask you to fill in along the way so you could as the MA to be proactive and send you all the forms or letters they could possibly ask for and upload them just in case. Or you can download the PDFs from the bluestone website if you know where   and have the ready to send if you're asked for them. Also download your payslips and send them as soon as you have access to each new one.
