(We are relocating over 2 hours away!!) so I continued to drive the massive drive to school and see the house that we should have had!! But now I feel so much happier with this house and that’s what I’m focused on! I hope you have a smoother journey than ours. and knew nothing about our dates and to be honest I’ve been going crazy as our MA won’t contact the packager!!! So it’s been nail biting! Thank god it was only 3 weeks! I think the research I didn’t on here helped as I had sent extra bank statements and wage slips once we moved into feb as I thought it would be something they’d ask for - maybe this helped? The packagers asked for loads of stuff before application too so I think that’s what assisted us getting an offer quicker as we had only the two document requests!1

Cantfightfate said:We lost our original house as Vida took so long - we had paid for all searches and all conveyancing to be done so lost al it if money!! However we needed to continue with the sale of our home so found a new house and put an offer in with a DIP with bluestone. We then again risked it all by staring if the conveyancing and mortgage application at the same time. All solicitor work was somehow completed within a week!!!! And now week 3 we have the mortgage offer all be it only verbal at the moment but we are exchanging Monday next week and completing hopefully on the 26th feb which will mean from offer being accepted on the house and moving in it’s 4 weeks which is surprising!!!
we used our usual mortgage advisor who used the packagers impact. Obviously, I can only say amazing things as our experience was amazing! It cost £99 so worth every penny!I have adverse due to ex husband not paying a bill that defaulted only 1 year ago and new partner is self employed. I’m also in a new job so we’ve not been an easy case I’m sure!Cantfightfate said:We lost our original house as Vida took so long - we had paid for all searches and all conveyancing to be done so lost al it if money!! Well after submitting our application in September 2020, we have just exchanged contracts today and are completing next Friday 26th. Yay!!. Loads of issues along the way including affordability queries, questions on loans and what they were used for. Bluestone even wanted to see bank statements to show loan going in and out. Also due to an admin error, the desktop valuation was done on the wrong property so had to wait two weeks for a new offer. Please those who are waiting hang in there as it’s worthwhile in the end. I’ve added a couple of pointers which may/may not help that we experienced
- When rolling into a new month, worth submitting another bank statement/payslip as this might save a week or so from requesting to submitting to review
- Bluestone need to be noted as an interested party on your insurance, which not all companies do as it’s not a legal requirement now apparently
- Ensure signature are matching on all documents sent. Sounds silly, but they will pick up on any discrepancies
Hope this helps and best of luck all

We had an update today, a request for lots more information. One of the things im worried about is that an old pay day loan from 2016 has come up. We are paying it tomorrow but worried it will ruin everything. Has anyone else had this happen? If so what was the outcome? The debt management plan they are aware of has now been settled but this old payday loan didn’t show up to us on experian but somehow its come up to them. This is the second time they have asked more questions since being at final underwrite 3/4 weeks now. Im guessing it will be another week before we get another update Really feel like giving up 😓

Can I ask anyone that’s had an offer how long did it take for your solicitor to get there’s?0

Hello all, we submitted an application with bluestone yesterday after receiving our DIP at the beginning of the month. We had an email today from our MA saying they have requested our P60’s and most recent bank statements. I’ve been looking through at people’s experiences and they seem really varied. Our MA has advised our affordability is absolutely fine and I only have one default from over a year ago which has been cleared. The only thing I’m worried about is our bank statements show a lot of just eat and shopping as we spend what we have. Anyone else had this and still been approved?? I’m stressing already and know it’s going to be a long slog!
