  • It’s been horrendous and I was heart broken I was more concerned for my children as they had started at the local school!!! (We are relocating over 2 hours away!!) so I continued to drive the massive drive to school and see the house that we should have had!! But now I feel so much happier with this house and that’s what I’m focused on! I hope you have a smoother journey than ours. and knew nothing about our dates and to be honest I’ve been going crazy as our MA won’t contact the packager!!! So it’s been nail biting! Thank god it was only 3 weeks! I think the research I didn’t on here helped as I had sent extra bank statements and wage slips once we moved into feb as I thought it would be something they’d ask for - maybe this helped? The packagers asked for loads of stuff before application too so I think that’s what assisted us getting an offer quicker as we had only the two document requests!
Well hopefully, the children will be happier in their new home close to school. We missed our junior school admission deadline, as we got declined by two high street lenders before BS. keeping fingers crossed you get to move into your new home soon! Its always encouraging to see success stories. Wishing you and your family many happy years in your new home.

We lost our original house as Vida took so long - we had paid for all searches and all conveyancing to be done so lost al it if money!! However we needed to continue with the sale of our home so found a new house and put an offer in with a DIP with bluestone. We then again risked it all by staring if the conveyancing and mortgage application at the same time. All solicitor work was somehow completed within a week!!!! And now week 3 we have the mortgage offer all be it only verbal at the moment but we are exchanging Monday next week and completing hopefully on the 26th feb which will mean from offer being accepted on the house and moving in it’s 4 weeks which is surprising!!!
we used our usual mortgage advisor who used the packagers impact. Obviously, I can only say amazing things as our experience was amazing! It cost £99 so worth every penny!
I have adverse due to ex husband not paying a bill that defaulted only 1 year ago and new partner is self employed. I’m also in a new job so we’ve not been an easy case I’m sure!

  • We had an update today, a request for lots more information. One of the things im worried about is that an old pay day loan from 2016 has come up. We are paying it tomorrow but worried it will ruin everything. Has anyone else had this happen? If so what was the outcome? The debt management plan they are aware of has now been settled but this old payday loan didn’t show up to us on experian but somehow its come up to them. This is the second time they have asked more questions since being at final underwrite 3/4 weeks now. Im guessing it will be another week before we get another update Really feel like giving up 😓

We feel exactly the same as you.. Ready to give up, we're still at final underwrite stage, yesterday evening they asked more questions and more documents we had to sign which was a signature discrepancy form, had to try and find account numbers for 2 loans and credit card. Now we're worried it's going to be another 6 working day turnaround before they even look at everything we've sent in 😭 so done with the stress now.
  • Can I ask anyone that’s had an offer how long did it take for your solicitor to get there’s?
  • Can I ask anyone that’s had an offer how long did it take for your solicitor to get there’s?
It was uploaded to our solicitors portal in 5 working days although bluestone tried saying it was 24 hours

Took 24 hours for ours to reach the solicitor and then the solicitor emailed us to show they has received the offer
  • Hello all, we submitted an application with bluestone yesterday after receiving our DIP at the beginning of the month. We had an email today from our MA saying they have requested our P60’s and most recent bank statements. I’ve been looking through at people’s experiences and they seem really varied. Our MA has advised our affordability is absolutely fine and I only have one default from over a year ago which has been cleared. The only thing I’m worried about is our bank statements show a lot of just eat and shopping as we spend what we have. Anyone else had this and still been approved?? I’m stressing already and know it’s going to be a long slog!

I only had one satisfied default from a year ago. My journey took 3 weeks. Affordability was fine. My December bank statement looks like I have a serious spending habit!!! We spent almost £1k on food alone! And then there was the Amazon and online purchases!! Really don’t worry we didn’t get question at all on it!
