Can you change your dns settings in your router. Try setting manual to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
Unfortunately the router Sky supplies doesn't let you set your own DNS so you have to do it on a device by device basis which is a pain...  It does seem like it's trying to load, just very slowly, so I'm thinking it's a routing problem rather than DNS but I could be wrong.
Yeah the Sky hub no longer allows changing dns.
I tried changing the dns on my tablet but still get this type of thing ....

  • Hello all,

There is a lot of really good info and advice on here and I'd like to say thanks to those who are boffins for putting your knowledge into the public domain
I've been reading this forum for a while and read all 75 pages yesterday. I need some advice please.
I have 4.5kw PV with 2 x Lux LXP 3600ACS, 2 pairs of 2 LFP-2400 batteries and a Growatt inverter and Octopus Go.

My solar was really good on string 1 yesterday, but as my scaffolding is still in place string 2 was shadowed by the signage.

This is day 3 and for some reason the batteries didn't charge last night. They fully charged night 1, but with the exact same settings they didn't charge last night. I have asked my installer and he's emailed Lux to look at it.

I've a long background in telecoms, tech, data centres and unix/linux experience, including Chinglish Huawei equipment instructions. But I need help and pointing in the right direction.

I also want to be able to log into the batteries themselves and I'm waiting for the RJ45 dongles for the inverters as I like to hardwire my equipment.

My main question: Does anyone have an idiots guide on exactly what the settings do?
    Thanks in advance,
    Shaun

    Hi Shaun

Some of the grid settings are a bit of a mystery certainly.
This is the only official guide I could find ......

Having browsed that guide, can anyone think of a reason not to enable "Fast Zero Export"?
My smart meter has finally been fixed for the first time since my inverter etc was installed and I can now see I'm continuously exporting about 5-10W, not a lot but it would add up over a day to maybe 0.1-0.2kWh and if there's a way of hanging on to it I'd prefer to do that!

Octopus Intelligent Go electric & Tracker gas
  • I'll have a read of that later, thanks EVandPV. Next mission is to try and connect to the Uhome LFP2400's. I can see them on wifi direct but no idea how to connect to them. I'll have a search and find out

    Hi Ian,
Have you got "forced discharge enable" enabled? When I turned mine on I started to export. I wanted that PV in my batteries or being used by me. It's set to disable now and the exporting has stopped

Ours has fast zero export enabled but we still see a small amount of export every day around 0.2-0.3kwh.
A good bit of that will just be down to the Lux response times and not much you can do about it but it's such a small amount it's not worth losing sleep over.
There's only 2 small blips of export showing on our graph today about 50 watts each, the rest is 0 watts so it's not a constant 'leak' as such.
