Yes it repeated itself last night. That's four nights on the trot ( but only the first night with a property power glitch.

I'll maybe get in touch with Infinity tomorrow.

    Thanks

    Hi, thanks for asking.

Problem started 21st Feb so a couple of weeks of the issue so far. The problem only shows up overnight and when the battery SOC is greater than set minimum in the overnight period ( obviously!)

I have been in contact with Infinity telephone support - who passed the query to the Lux engineers -then informed me that the issue was with grid voltage variations.

I have investigated ( I am told the data tab - which looks fine for Acr volts- does not give fast enough readings, though Lux eng can access fast readings) what has been described to me as short term grid variations causing the inverter to self protect. What I have recorded all seems fine with the grid.
I monitored the period before during  and after midnight ( I.e. before and at the start of the problem ) using a faster reading Digital Multi Meter ( DMM ) recorded to PC. with no adverse readings showing up (well within Grid spec at 248.2v typically ). Battery ( at 60% SOC or so ) use  trips out at a few seconds after midnight and I have a couple of minutes recordings showing no significant voltage change.

However the DMM readings are at about 150mS rate so could still be too slow to show up a problem so I have also recorded in an identical fashion the waveform on a digital oscilloscope. That waveform also shows no variations of significance over the period except a very slight reduction of noise post inverter generation i.e. on grid. [Most likely in my opinion it could be granularity of inverter generation voltage as it is much higher frequency than 50 Hz. The 'noise' is only ever so slightly more on inverter and very small compared to grid voltage so really irrelevant.]

Infinity have been offering good support, I need to get back to them with my test results, and they have offered an inverted exchange if required.

What does surprise me is the time period repeatability of midnight to 5 a.m. when the battery is not being used for generation and I notice that the app and Web portal now have time settings relating to charge/Discharge that I have not seen before. Could well be coincidence.

Will post again. Hopefully link to test results for info if anyone desires.

Well I've learnt something about the set up of the lux inverters over the last few days.
I have a DNO export limit of 8kw. Since I installed the hybrid, if I was exporting >3.6kw, it would throttle it's output to try and keep export at 3.6kw (G98 requirement).
To resolve this there is a setting on the application page via the dongle/local connect route called "Grid Sell Back Power %". Under the guidance of lux, China, I've changed this setting to 205%, I've tested the export limit and now the hybrid throttles output (solar or forced discharge) at 7.5kw. in a similar vein my 2 ACS paralleled inverters have their setting at 105% and again tested max export at between 7.5-7.6kw.

Lux inverter now has a message saying the android version of the new app will be available on Google Play "after a short period".

Suggestions please to investigate this oddity....
    Power 'failure' overnight.

I have Lux ACS3600 ( non hybrid) inverter and Pylon batteries.
Yesterday sunny weather so almost empty to near full charge an ru night of battery/ solar for most of the day except at the odd high peak demand of little significance.....Any ideas to investigate further?
I'm seeing similar problems, but probably not the same. This looks like a s/w bug.

    My standard overnight charge is:
11.30pm to 00.30 - to ensure that the battery has some charge at least.
    then a gap
then 03.30 to 05.30 - to charge to whatever limit I've set.
Objective, to minimise time I'm taking from the grid but make sure I'm getting enough charge.
Problem: I'm away on holiday with plenty of solar, so I've turned a/c charging to off before I left.
Last night it charged 11.30pm to 00.30, despite a/c charging being off, then it was taking from the grid until 05.30 but not charging or discharging. The battery has way more charge than I've set as a target. It has always behaved as expected until now.
There is obviously a bug where it is picking up the wrong parameters under some conditions.

Have you turned of the battery calibration feature? If not after 7 days and battery hasn't reached 100% SOC they will start to charge no matter if you have turned off AC charge.

Thank you! This has explained why it keeps charging up to 100% every now and then even though I set a 70%. I thought it was me being dafter than normal.

The calibration feature can be disabled if you want now we are coming to sunnier days
