Netexporter said:And a supplementary question from me, if I may. I'm interested in the Fogstar rack battery system. One of the supported inverters is listed as Pylontech, although I've never seen one with that branding; do they mean Luxpower, which seems to be closely associated?
Very happy with them.0 -
I have 16 x300w panels, four 2.4 pylon batteries (9.6) and a pylon 3.6 hybrid inverter. In the back of my mind I remember reading that the maximum number of batteries my system cam support is 5 x2.4. Am I right? If not, what is the max? A Fogstar 15.5? Or would I need a different inverter?0

I have 8 x 2.4kWh Pylontechs & that's the maximum for 1 inverter.
If I was buying batteries now I would probably opt for Fogstar.4kWp (black/black) - Sofar Inverter - SSE(141°) - 30° pitch - North LincsInstalled June 2013 - PVGIS = 3400Sofar ME3000SP Inverter & 5 x Pylontech US2000B Plus & 3 x US2000C Batteries - 19.2kWh1 -

Corrected itself now. I thought it might have been either my phone or the modem but it's just Infiniti having fun.I bought another two Pylon 2.4s today. That takes me up to 14.4 now.I've worked out that if I drive 10k miles a year that's 28 miles a day on average. That means I need to charge the EV up for six hours a day at 1.3kwh. With 13kwh useable in the battery it's doable and I can make use of any low/free/negative prices that Octopus offer. That's the theory anyway. Reality means that I'll probably end up with Intelligent Octopus because I'm lazy.0
