Please, for the love of all things holy, can we start a new Coronavirus sub-section within the Overseas/Holidays forum and move all the threads (most of which are a) the same thing, or b) needlessly worrying about things months down the line) into it?
Yes I realise the irony of starting this but this section of the forum is being swamped by thread after thread of repetition.
Cheers.

Cheers.I get your point but I really doubt 'site admin' will read this.Have you contacted one of the MSE mods direct? Maybe Callum who's started a couple of threads on this board?Or pm'd one of the board guides?1 -
Many questions are from people who would rather post here than read their policy terms to see what they're actually covered for. They all seem to think their situation is unique and not covered by general advice, as well.2

Moving to site feedback for the mse team to see. I have also brought this thread to their attention.Board guides cannot make new forums, this is for the forum team.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

Good points and suggestion.
I would dearly like Board Mod's to monitor and quickly merge threads. I have tried to politely suggest to new posters with similar questions to read the MSE article, read the existing main threads and post questions on one of those two threads if they have not found an answer to their question. On one recently I then had a Board Mod implied afterwards to the OP that it was fine to open a new thread to ask the question. Head banging moment.
It is getting out of control and really difficult to offer suggestions and help to posters. A mix of laziness to read the MSE guide and other posts. I also am getting frustrated by a large number of posters asking for information, receive it and not updating their story which could benefit others in the same circumstances. How many have recently said they are calling their travel insurer, airline, tour operator to ask about a certain issue. How about updating one of the two main threads after gaining that information? It just might save someone else having to go through the same process.

Problem with that is the ‘main’ page would be dead, nobody’s planning travel right now!1 -

As for not planning travel, speak for yourself. I booked a holiday last week for next February.0 -

The MSE team moved a few and I have moved some more, although there were a LOT of threads so some may have been missed.
