May be they did you a favour by not letting you deposit any more. You are a very brave person, planning on depositing £500 into a PO savings account each month. Have you worked out how you would be able, reliably and instantly, to withdraw your cash from the account?
I do not need to instantly withdraw it.  I know it takes a few days.  I just use to the PO for DDs.
From what I've read, you're lucky to be able to get your money out of a PO account at all without numerous battles with customer services, let alone within a few days.

I guess I am lucky then.
    Give it time...

Does the new terms also require any direct debits or not?

    Always check the terms direct.
But no, no DDs required to receive "reward".

Will it be possible to fund the £1500.00 with transfers from other Halifax or BOS Vantage accounts?
At the moment I have 3 of each and transfer £1000.00 from one Vantage through the other two then through the three Rewards then back again to the first Vantage. This gets me the interest on the three Vantage accounts and the £2.00 "Reward" on the three Reward accounts.

I have opted for the £500 debit card out a month.  I first tried a £5 payment to PO saver a little while ago and it worked ok.  Today I tried to make a payment to get into the monthly habit but got this on the PO site:
"Requests to the server have been blocked by an extension2
    ???
Tried calling them but having to wait ages?

I use this facility quite often instead of setting up a new payee for the account from which I'm taking money (as it gives me a sense of security to ensure I'm paying into the right account). It can sometimes be glitchy, but I've found that disabling the shield in firefox (enhanced tracking protection) has worked in the past. However, I tried to deposit via debit card today, and all I get is a blank screen. The screen gives an instruction to follow the "steps below" to complete the payment, however there are no steps, it's just blank.

I am also having same issue, when I select Debit card, enter the amount and select continue button it opens a small page but doesnt give option to add any debit card details. PO has always been hit and miss and not that reliable when you actually need it.

The website is glitchy and sometimes things don't work as expected and redirect to a "sorry you have been logged out" page. However, I've never had a problem withdrawing to the nominated account (online) - touch wood.

YES.   .....(That's assuming you have the letter (mail or online) giving 1 June as the date the account changes.)
