With £130bn wiped off the FTSE 100 this morning is anyone else thinking of making a market debut with a vanguard stocks and shares ISA to track this index? According to vanguard the FTSE 100 has a 5/7 risk factor.
That particular index has a poor reputation and should only be considered, if at all, as a constituent of a much more broadly diversified portfolio - what else are you invested in?
I don’t invest in any stocks and shares. I’ve just cleared my debts and I was thinking about paying off my mortgage when I became interested in vanguard’s trackers.
