Hi all,
Ive been investing in vanguards 80 lifestrategy, logging in today this has completely zero'd out - its been dropping which I would expect given the market and corona etc, but there is not real details showing on the website at the moment and I am not able to discuss this with them until tomorrow.
My question is, has anyone else had any issues with the site? my hope is that there is a site issue and that is that, though I am aware that there are risks with the stock market..... having 20% in equity makes me think to have completely lost it all overnight is unlikely but not impossible.
if anyone has any help advice or experience on this would be great.
thanks

I had this as well this morning all funds to zero. But when I looged out and logged back in again money reappeared.1

Firstly, the VLS80 is 20% in bonds and 80% in equity, not the other way around!Secondly, which site are you talking about as you can buy this fund through many different online platforms?Thirdly, the value of the fund has not gone to 0 I can assure you. It is most likely an IT issue.1

Lifestrategy 80 is 80% equity isn't it? I've just logged on to Vanguard and it's only suffered a small drop:
NAV price (GBP)
As at date 06 Mar 2020
£204.80
Change
-£4.62 -2.21%1 -
Yes mine was the same earlier. Slight panic ensued. Logged back in and all back to normal.1

You are correct, and apologies my head was in a bit of a stutter given the possibility lolmcooke999 said:Firstly, the VLS80 is 20% in bonds and 80% in equity, not the other way around!Secondly, which site are you talking about as you can buy this fund through many different online platforms?Thirdly, the value of the fund has not gone to 0 I can assure you. Secondy it is through Vanguard.co.uk
thirdly it appears to be back slightly lower at 6.06% which has dropped again, but I am not sure what to do at this stage.
it is money I can afford to lose, though would prefer not too

I think I will give them a call on monday to discuss the options / advice. I am fairly new to this and do want to start bouncing on and off - in actual fact it seems general advice is to just keep on ploughing on.....

I think you are looking at meteor impact, zombie apocalypse, nuclear war etc! I hope the investment performs well for you over the long term and doesn't cause too much stress!Bowsa said:what are the are chances of a complete loss, in a portfolio like this?
