We have some great businessess.I'm not negative about all UK companies at all, or even about all companies in the FTSE 100. I'm negative about many of the biggest companies with significant weights in the FTSE 100, and (more importantly) about the (lack of) balance of that index.I'm more positive about the FTSE 250.

I should say that the Lloyds shares were bought through H&L. The RDSB purchase was processed as I was trying to cancel ( a bit of a coincidence) at well over £1 more than I intended. I am not happy about that.
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0 -

Yes, it's a type of gambling, but don't fool yourselves, anyone who buys stocks and shares is gambling to a degree.
"Doing Nothing" is in fact "Doing Something", and I question whether there really is safety in the herd mentality....
I liquidated 50% of pension as a precautionary safety measure, (I saw no upside but significant downside potential)
It's the first time I have done this, so have weathered through various financial crises in the past, but this is not a financial crisis.
In previous financial crises the vast majority of the population would have completely oblivious of the fact, this time the people are in the thick of it, and when the people stop consuming companies will feel it in a very tangible way....1 -
