Until I see my bill in a couple of days Im holding my fire on this one - CAB was kind enough to provide a snapshot of his bill showing free calls to his "registered" non onetel mobiles which I am assuming he could only have "registered" for mobile override so Im prepared to give it a shot
If it does actually work then the limiting factor is the fact that you have to trust the person who owns the mobile NOT to use the override code for all their calls as they appear on your onetel bill ! - its not as if you can hide the access code from them as onetel send it to their mobile in a text message
Onetel are obviously thinking of the service as a "phone home for free from your mobile" but it obviously can be extended beyond that to other family members0 -
So what you are doing is registering mobile numbers other then OneTels for the Mobile Override service, and hoping that when you call these mobiles from your landline, or they call you from these mobiles, the calls are foc.PF.0

FYI I have just confirmed that a call made yesterday to a registered mobile on the vodaphone network (registered for override) was free of charge so it works for definate in the manner I detailed
So if you are either :
a) happy for your family members to charge OTHER calls to your account via the override access code
OR
b) trust them not to use it if you dont want them doing this
then you can get free calls to their mobiles and just get charged the cost of using the access code the other way round i.e. mobile to landline0 -
OneTel Mobile runs on the Voda Network. Did you manage to get free calls to any other network by any chance.PF.0

the calls to 3 and t-mobile haven't appeared yet for whatever reason
apart from a different network, the other difference was that I only got through to the persons voicemail service whereas with the call that has been listed I actually talked to the person0 -
can confirm that the 3 calls are free too which almost certainly means its any registered phone whatever the network
gonna save me loads of money so thanks to the OP who mentioned this0 -
Hi,
Just wondered if there were such things as an override for premium numbers. My mum has just using a dating service from the paper that charges 75p a minute to listen to replies to her advert.
She is calling from a PAYG mobile with T-mobile.
Thanks for any suggestions0
