I thought I remembered a more recent one but I checked in my Apple account and 25th is the latest update shown.Highland76 said:
Yep, there was an app update 1-2 days ago.badger09 said:Not yet available on my iPhone SE. App was last updated 25 March. Assume you've had a more recent update?
I've noticed several times that although I'm sure xxx app was updated on a particular date, it sometimes appears as an available update several days later, with a date sometime in the past - if that makes any sense?0 -
On my iPhone the app is showing as v1.31.0 released on 31/03/20 - no further updates after that. I think its a staggered rollout, probably down to pot luck when your iOS device gets the feature.1

Starling update as above arrived & done today. Still no facility to deposit cheques, other than by postHighland76 said:On my iPhone the app is showing as v1.31.0 released on 31/03/20 - no further updates after that. That it's a phased roll-out?badger09 said:

Current Android version 1.22.0.36692 30th March has mobile cheque deposit. The annoying thing is everytime they release an update on the Play Store, they never state what they have updated. Just some silly sentance about tinkering and new features and improvements. Not like software developers of yesteryear.0

The feature was available to some customers (but not others) a week before that update, as mentioned earlier in this thread. It is certainly possible for Starling to control who has access to a particular feature of their app on a customer by customer basis. That is what is meant by a phased roll-out.Deleted_User said:Current Android version 1.22.0.36692 30th March has mobile cheque deposit.

Yes I had it before this update too. And yes I'm sure they can control who has what within the app. They had an 'easter egg' that was turned on at Xmas and removed afterwards without an app update, therefore the feature is still there hidden probably for next Xmas.

I had misunderstood what was meant by 'a phased roll out'. I thought it meant that the update of 31st March contained the facility to deposit cheques, and that update was rolled out in phases over a period. I hadn't appreciated that my update dated 31st March but only received today, was different to others' roll outs dated 31 March.masonic said:

As mentioned above, the rollout started circa 23rd March (that's the date someone first reported having it on MSE). I didn't get it until the following weekend, but I got it well before the update of 31st March. The update that introduced the capability was probably pushed out some time prior to that, perhaps as early as 15th March when the placeholder message saying the feature was coming soon was added. You can have exactly the same app installed on your phone, but have a different set of features available when you log in than another user. Perhaps if one of us who already have the feature available to us logged in on your phone, we'd be greeted with the cheque deposit feature there as well, and vice-versa, if you logged in on my phone, you'd still find the feature disabled.badger09 said:

Thanks for the explanation. Not a good idea to try logging into each other's phones in normal times. And these are certainly not normal timesmasonic said:
