Had an email today.
Mysupermarket is to close from 1st March.
I reproduce the email here:

Dear mySupermarket users,

After 14 years of service to UK shoppers, the mySupermarket website and mobile application will be taken down from March 1st, 2020 as we shift our activity toward other business areas.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the tens of millions of you who have used our services over the years and who have contributed to its amazing success.

It has been our pleasure and privilege to serve you and to share this journey with you.

Thank you and goodbye!

Gilad Simhony, CEO
Amir Ofer, President
and the mySupermarket Team

Didn't even give us that much notice, and not enough time to do anything about it.

Very disappointed as I use it a lot.

Just had an email from them saying they are closing down their website and app from 1st March 2020.
Did I miss a previous announcement as this is very short notice? What are the best alternatives?

I was very surprised and am going to miss that site for checking who's got the cheapest price on Hendricks and Fevertree 😋.  I too would like to know the alternatives.

Edit: Bit of Googling comes up with a possible alternative on Shopods.com.  Nowhere near as good as MySupermarket though 😥

Oh no! I love it for checking prices and how it creates a useful vs. shopping list. Also interested in alternatives!

  • An old thread I know, but thought I'd say that I've had an email from MSM saying that they're closing the site at the end of Feb 2020. Totally agree that it's a clunky website & not 100% comprehensive but it helped a bit so will be missed. Are there any alternatives out there?
  • I've just had an email saying mysupermarket is finishing on Sunday (1st March).  This is such a useful app,  I use it to check the price of any high-priced item I want and then compare it in the other major supermarkets.   I don't use it for everything but when you want to spend a lot it really saves a lot of money. Quite frankly I will be at a loss without it.  I know there are lots of price comparison sites and apps but all I want is something with Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Aldi, Lidl on, that I can use on my phone when I am out and that just has the major supermarkets on it.  I don't want to wade through online prices etc. Is there anything else reliable around?  I am beginning to wonder if this is a conspiracy by the supermarkets to stop us shopping around!
