I used to use the website quite a bit, to look at how much things were and where I was most likely to get XYZ cheapest today.  BUT - I found they had an increasing number of absent products + prices were often out of date and/or didn't reflect deals/offers correctly.
I used to be a bit annoyed though that I couldn't view the results and comparisons in a format I wanted to see them in, but the feeds from the supermarkets were probably too ever-changing to do further development for the front end.

Nice while it lasted... there's bound to be somebody that pops up with an alternative at some point.

Hard not to agree that it's going to be a great loss. I never did understand their business model, though and I suspect that's where it ran aground. It's saved me a few pounds over the years but I imagine it's cost its owners a lot more.
  • I will miss it too. I loved getting emails about price drops!

Gutted.   Only a couple of weeks ago I mentioned it to a friend who hadn't even heard of it.   I was shocked.  I  thought  everyone knew of it. I used it at least twice a week.

Did they earn money by product placement of items and they earned a percentage if purchased

Oh no, a really useful app. Used it to price check the more ‘luxury items’ where it is good to save a few pounds.  Will really miss it.
  • Very sad, always used it instead of the grocers website, it was brilliant, just the "sort by unit price" was worth it's weight in gold. It's like saying goodbye to a very close friend.
